Haumono has reportedly offered Browne $1m to fight him
Solomon Haumono has reportedly offered to transfer $1million straight into WBA heavyweight champion Lucas Browne's account to ensure a fight between the two takes place.
"Lucas has been avoiding me for a long time saying he was chasing big-money world title fights, but now I know for sure that he just doesn't want to get in the ring with me."
"He thinks he is the Big Daddy, but in reality he is The Phantom, the ghost who walks. He doesn't want to show up."
Lucas Browne's response >>>
"Why wouldn't I fight Solomon for $1 million... I just don't know how it can be worked out with the WBA because I am in this mini tournament and I'm supposed to fight Fres Oquendo."

I have to say I take this development with a grain of salt.
Seem to remember only days ago Browne's manager Matt Clark saying they informed Haumono's people what they wanted in order to get a Browne vs Haumono match set and they came back short.

Doesnt sound right to me either. Sounds like Matt Clark has done a fantastic job at preserving Browne's interests to get him where he is now.Redback Rasta wrote:I have to say I take this development with a grain of salt.

Recent receipients of Haumono grumblings in the press have been Danny Green and Joseph Parker, yet the man has been in the ring only twice in the past 2 years.
Sounds like a bit of publicity, cashing in on "Big Daddys" recent win. Now if Lucas had have lost, would Haumono still be carrying on with his faux gnashing of teeth and the $1 million dollars?

And the 2 opponents are underwhelming to say the least. You're right publicity stunt.Beltane wrote:Recent receipients of Haumono grumblings in the press have been Danny Green and Joseph Parker, yet the man has been in the ring only twice in the past 2 years.

Sounds like Solomon is keen to try out his new undetectable sports enhancing drug he's been using judging from his calling out of higher level fighters.
Lucas should just knock him out and take the cash.

This million dollar offer sounds like a crock to me.

Keep your name in the press by calling out higher-profile people you'd unlikely ever fight. Never seen before in the sport of boxing

That would be a waste of time. Haumona's best was long ago.foxdog1923 wrote:Sounds like Solomon is keen to try out his new undetectable sports enhancing drug he's been using judging from his calling out of higher level fighters.

Sounds like he has been offered one. If it is a genuine offer he can hardly refuse.ClivePatrickLyons wrote:Like a Boss wrote:Solomon Haumono's manager Matt Rose claims he was contacted about Haumono fighting Tyson Fury's cousin Hughie on the Tyson Fury - Wladimir Klitschko undercard.
