Because Americans don't watch Boxing. The whole idea of going to the networks was to bring back big ratings and sponsor paid fights. It could never touch the 80's for the simple fact that there were only a couple channels of competition, but people just don't give a shit here, the ratings are poor and fighters are paid too much for average fights for a sponsor to even consider shelling out that kind of dough.

They possibly would if the fights would put people in front of the TV set. But Haymon is a fool if he thinks that putting fights like Adonis Stevenson vs. Sakio Bika on a Saturday at 4 PM are going to make anyone watch such a one sided affair. Haymon had an agenda through all of this and it failed miserably. He could not have done this in a more stupid fashion.

Pbc failed to cultivate any new stars - it will be sunk soon - back to business as usual by end of year -
