the facts

Post by SFW »

Andre Ward dominated Froch and Kessler. He was the superior fighter in almost every round. Each guy had a case for 3 rounds Froch maybe 4 if you really want to lean his way that argument isn't terrible. A couple butts, halfway through against Kessler when he was already being clearly beaten and down multiple rounds, have somehow turned into an eternal damnation for those who choose to ignore all but that. So it seems more like bitter excuses, mainly by the reaction not the significance of the act. Obviously they can't be taken lightly, but Ward isn't near as bad as many fighters yet they are rarely chastised like Dre is. I'm not understanding.

Kessler was past his best and Froch is a brawler not a boxer -- as evidenced by his showings against Taylor and Dirrell.
Good wins, but nothing world beating.
Those good wins didn't make Ward the new Roy Jones Jnr. I think most people lack affection for Ward because, despite the promise and potential, he's built no kind of legacy to this point.

Yeah and what has he done since the super 6 besides put me to sleep with his boring analysis on HBO? The super 6 was really watered down IMO when it was fought.

If it wasn't for the super 6 he would never have been a world champion, he would be fighting in Oakland in Front of 5,000 people (that's including TV viewing figures). He would of been made mandatory at some point but as soon as he would of realised he would have to travel to face the champion his knee would have gave way or he would have conveniently "lost" his passport (and his nerve).

After the super 6 he and Bute were 1 and 2 by a small margin but did he fight Bute? fornicate no, the man with a bigger set of bollox fought Bute. That sums up Ward's safety first career.

Ward hasn't even come close to being beaten yet.
He needs to venture out of his hometown more often.
A fight against Kovalev will be a career defining fight that will shape his legacy.
It's hard to hate on a guy who's looked unbeatable despite his inactivity.

It's not hard to hate for these crybabies commenting here lol, luckily there empty headed opinions are as irrelevant as their presence. And I'm eternally grateful they get to watch Andre win for years to come. It isn't quite the great feeling as watching Froch the career 2nd best bend over and take it round after round but it's close.

Andre Ward is a fraud, a coward, a lier, a bum. GGG & Kovalev will destroy him!

If SOGgy fights Krusher after Barrera it will be enough for me, even if he loses to the Russian. If he wins that fight, nobody will do anything but praise him, with the exception of his hardcore haters who will find a reason to belittle the accomplishment.

SOGgy has treated the boxing public to a three and a half year dose of water torture though. It is time to get to work. I just hope he doesn't stub his toe on a curb in the next week.

It is relevant to Ward though as the fans pay his wages and as he doesn't have any his bank balance is not even close to the man who was second best to him.

Nah, he will just sue Jay Z and get his money that way.

This is the kind of nonsense comment that sees people look elsewhere for their boxing discussions. No insight, no analysis, not even good trolling, just a nuthugger nuthugging. The irony of citing other peoples 'empty headed opinions' is laughable -- or 'lol'able if you're a generation Y drone.

You are right about that comment, but I think "elsewhere" is even worse.
