........Khan is going to beat Canelo.

Comments on this are permitted, but anyone mentioning a certain bet on Povetkin beating Wlad will be lashed with the raggy end of a pineapple.

He's got a chance, however I keep think of the Garcia fight where he absolutely boxed his head off until he got tagged and Canelo is a better boxer so I could see the same thing happening. That said I'm going for Khan too :bag: :box:

he definitely 'can' win. However, i think he has to win a land slide to get the decision and thats what i struggle with.

if he edges a close fight, he will get screwed.

Still, come on Amir do us proud!!

I think the extra weight will agree with him. Hearns vs Andries springs to mind.

I think he stands Canelo on his head - landslide stuff. Khan can always gets caught and when hurt he exchanges which would be a bad idea here, but I can really see him pulling this off

I like Khan too, I think the fight will be predictable after a couple of rounds.

I want Khan to win more than life itself, but let's be real here, unless a freak occurrence happens Canelo will get to him. No question. Khan will probably look the business for a few rounds, but he'll slow enough for Canelo to get his shots off. Hopefully I'm wrong and Khan pulls off one of the biggest upsets in British boxing history but I just can't see it, look how Maidana made him struggle in the later rounds, and he's nowhere near as good or as big and strong as Canelo. This is a terrible mismatch, make no mistake.

I'm praying for a technical decision. :OhYes:

Khan is very fast but he doesn't have the boxing skills a lot of people seem to think he has, and I think that Canelo will get to him eventually.

As for the weight, Khan was big at 135 but he's hardly a huge welterweight. I don't really see this as a case where not having to lose as much weight is going to be a big plus for him.

Yeah. Khan has never been a particularly intelligent boxer- he's just been super quick.

I've seen stranger things, but I don't expect Khan to beat Canelo. I do however expect him to be ahead on the scorecards at the time he's stopped.

Oscar Pistorius wishes he could go out on a limb :-?

But shite jokes aside, I think Khan can win. It's doubtful but it could happen.

Even if he wins every minute of every round & staggers or decks Canelo I'll still be sweaty palms up until the last 5 seconds of the fight.

I love supporting chinny fighters :D

If it goes to points , would'nt suprise me if Khan was to win ,, I think the weight will suit Khan but he's still vunerable when he gets caught clean .. For me the reason i give him a chance is , i just don't believe Canelo is the Bogey man he's made out to be ,, Mayweather absolutly schooled him , he refuses, to defend his title in a mega fight at 160 , so he's not has confident has made out , definetly mus'nt fancy his chances with GGG . But he's happy to fight a guy coming up in weight ,

Khan has the speed if he's gained a bit more brains he can do it , I suppose a sensible person will say Canelo , but my heart wants Khan to not only win, but to make him look stupid doing it ,,

I'd tend to agree with this, however I don't think Khan is the man to establish this - as others have already pointed out, Khan's main asset is his speed and he's actually not that intelligent a boxer. Canelo's already come through tougher tests such as Lara and Cotto, so I can't see Khan really troubling him. I see Amir having some early success but being walked down and stopped around the midway stage, particuarly as he'll find it hard to maintain his boxing discipline.

Who thinks Canelo is the Boogeyman? Nobody is saying he can beat the world, but he can beat Khan.

No doubt in my mind canelo stops Khan. At some point he will get to him and Khan will be like bambi on ice

Khan is capable of making Canelo look sluggish with his speed, movement and combinations so I get why some are picking him. I just can't see him being able to avoid Canelo for the full 12. He will get caught eventually and when that happens I reckon he'll wilt and Canelo will jump all over him. As someone said above, if it's a close fight then Canelo gets it on the cards.

Just imagine this, khan beats Canelo, then next year goes on to beat a rusty Mayweather becoming King khan for real. :o

... Khan is going to leave the ring with his head still attached. But only just.

Khan just don't have anything to bridge that size-power-chin gap.

Khan will get knocked out cold I think. This fight is the physical manifestation of his self-delusion.

I have to agree with the majority above - Khan is just much too fragile to last 12 rounds against Alvarez. He might look good for a while, but he'll get caught and stopped.
