British Lionhearts v Morocco Atlas Lions this Thursday...

Post by milpool »

This fixture has been cancelled due to the Moroccon team not being issued with visas to enter the UK.

Pretty gutted about this as I ended up getting the season ticket for all three fixtures and the matches against Mexico and the USA had been superb.

Are they not rescheduling it? I've only watched bits and pieces of it so far. I was well impressed with Joe Cordina against the USA youngster (can't remember his name). He put on a bit of a clinic.

Looking at the statement, it says 'if' the match gets rescheduled, ticket holders can switch their ticket to the rearranged date or be given the opportunity to an alternative Lionhearts WSB event.
I imagine a 5-0 walkover could be on the cards...

I really enjoy this series, so this is a shame. GB has some superb prospects coming through and in a few years when these lads have all turned over the 'boom' of British boxing looks set to continue.

The main concern now for Team Gb is Rio qualification.
Best amateur squad we may have ever had hopefully we get 8 there and get 3-4 medals.

Joyce, Cordina, Ali and Fowler the ones I fancy for a medal.

They better hurry up and qualify! Fowler seems to have such bad luck, hope it makes it to Rio and gets the gold. Cordina is a real talent too. Don't think we will see anything like the medal haul from London.

Now that the former Soviet nations send their own teams the European qualifiers for the Olympics are very strong.
