Anyone visited the Hall of Fame in Canastota, NY?
I visited last weekend as i ended up being within a few hours drive from it and it was great. Also the memorabilia next door to the HoF which has the original Maddison Square Garden ring was full of great signed stuff and seemed hugely reasonable for official signed merchandise
Anyone else visited and what were your thoughts?
Also which British fighters do you think should be in there? As Ist definitely American and South American weighted!!
Hoping i'll be in town one year for the June induction, as i saw the list of boxers that were attending this year, and its always impressive.
If Hatton was getting inducted would anyone make the trip?? I only ask due to the huge following during his career.

Ricky has to get in based on his following, Vegas has never seen anything like it, before or since. McGuigan is in for non boxing reasons, really. Froch is in with a shout, but I think they'll keep him hanging on for a few years.
Re: International Boxing Hall of Fame
You have to be retired for 5 years before you become eligible for Hall of Fame induction. Neither Ricky nor Froch have met this criteria yet, but I figure there's a very strong case for them both to be in the Hall of Fame when they become eligible. Especially Froch.mickey1975 wrote:Ricky has to get in based on his following, Vegas has never seen anything like it, before or since. McGuigan is in for non boxing reasons, really. I think it's six years, I think Hatton will be a first time ballot as well. Ricky had superfights over there.
