So many fights...Coggi vs Gonzalez
Oleydong vs Porpramook 2 (think Martinez vs Cintron, another that deserves a mention)
Lazarte vs Solis (both fights)

Julius Francis v Sinan Samil Sam was very fishy.

Julius couldn't wait to lose that one & he crumpled in an exaggarated heap from a body shop & got 'counted out'.

Was it not quite widely accepted (if not proven) that Margacheato had his gloves loaded in the Cotto win? Not the decision of the fight but the circumstances surrounding that fight were dodgy as fornicate!

My dad use to tell me that max baer refused to take a dive vs carnera and proceeded to beat him around the ring.
Not sure how accurate this is.
I heard the same from my old man. :TU:
Keith I feel better about this now, I think we both say this is now a fact. :salut:

I watched Antwon Echols v Brian Baronet and that ended a bit unfairly; Baronet seemed to be bossing a close fight and was hit with a glancing shot, he ducked and topppled out of the ring on to and then through the media tables. The ring apron was maybe 5 or 6 inches wide! The referree seemed to start his count as soon as Baronet went through the ropes and he got to 20 just as he got back into the ring and was on his feet and rising. I'm not sure about how long an fghter gets to get back in the ring but it seemed a bit unfair on Baronet.

I still have my doubts about De La Hoyas exit vs Hopkins. A terrible 'fight' right up till the 'knockout blow'. I've still not seen anyone pound the canvas like that instead of just getting up...

Mickey Ward knocked out Alfonso Sanchez with a single hook and Sanchez did something similar (from memory), Sanchez never fought again.

Yeah I thought that. It was too melodramatic. Oscar will certainly never get an Oscar for his acting....

What about Dirrell against AA. That seemed a bit OTT. All this 'where am I man?' Bollux!

Did the Hatton v Castillo finish look above board to you? I thought it was and some on CS claimed Castillo threw the bout.

Was there anything said about this at the time? I remember watching the fight and just thinking DLH got done by a good shot but I haven't watched it back.

Didn't he break 3 of his ribs with that? I remember there was a bit of a delay before Castillo took a knee but that's usually the case with body shots.

I believe and have never heard otherwise that that win was 100% legitimate. The actual delay before Castillo dropped is especially convincing. It happens a lot with body shots, often takes half a second before it takes effect

Just watched the ending in O De La H - Hopkins fight and it's very odd. One the one hand, it looks like a well placed and quick body shot from a naturally bigger fighter.... But it also looks like an arm shot.... Oscar's initial reaction is convincing but all the rolling around and banging the canvas seems acted. Also Oscar goes on about it, when with the cornermen he mimics the punch as if to 'explain' what happened (as if no one saw.)

He doesn't actually seem that concerned or gutted by the result and is overly demonstrative. Then he goes into business' with Hopkins as well and jointly promotes him.

It's definitely a little fishy but I am not convinced of a conspiracy / set up. Maybe Oscar got hurt by a good shot and was a bit embarrassed so overacted to try and retain some 'dignity'. I think that's the most likely explanation.... His mind was possibly riddled with Coke and he was thinking about wearing women's underwear and hanging out with hookers... Who knows! :TU: :D

Iirc Oleydong did his ankle and was down about 4 times in a round due to it...yet still escaped with a draw in a bout that he should have been stopped in....then again my memory sucks

You've covered all the details mate...it was a money fight and Hopkins toyed with him till the slap in the side that 'finished it'. Then they started what they hoped would be the biggest promotional company ever with Sugar Shane and Marco A B tagging along...it's all turned out well :D

I don't think the McNeeley fight needed to be fixed: McNeeley would have fallen over if Tyson had farted near him, that's how poor he was! :o

Tyson v Seldon; now that was fishy! :witzend:
