I read a story years ago that Campas had wanted to retire and was threatened by Mexican gangsters with guns that if he did he would be killed, they threw him out of a moving car as well.
I thought boxing was a Hard enough sport even if you was getting looked after...

That last fight was billed as his farewell fight. Let's see if he fights in a year
He's fighting guys with... on paper, decent records too. 11-0, 22-2, 14-3, 55-7 etc. Granted, his opponents may actually be utter crap but still... decent wins on paper.
And now we have Roy Jones jnr knocking out a fan in the 2nd round on Saturday. Ok so the guy had some MMa fights under his belt, but had never fought in a boxing match before. A very sad spectacle.
RJJ started pro in 1989 and now seems intent on tarnishing his legacy as much as he can.

The Kali Meehan fight was the final of a prizefighter type tournie in NZ, He beat kick boxer Nansen and Irishman Rogan before. Iwas there. I don't know why they've put it in that order, but its wrong.

Ah ok, yes their own records even show they are out of order, I have posted this in the 'Record Queries & Updates' forum and they should change it.
