Fights That Were A Little Fishy.

I don't think the McNeeley fight needed to be fixed: McNeeley would have fallen over if Tyson had farted near him, that's how poor he was!

McNeeley was going to lose and very likely in the first round, but due to the count it would of lasted longer than 90 seconds. Supposedly a lot of money had been placed for a stoppage within 90 seconds, Vinnie Vecchione jumps in on 89 seconds.

Haskins v Hall even Haskins own fans thought he lost, that's not including the appalling ref allowing the usual Haskins fowls

I'll always be certain that the 2nd Liston fight was a dive on Liston's part. Why he took the dive I'll never know, but he definitely took a dive. None of Ali's other fights looked fixed to me. Unless you wanna count bad judging as a fix, in which case that's happened more times than any of us can count.

I wouldn't say it was a dive. He got hit and he went down. The chaos afterwords, who knows. One thing I am certain of.... If Liston had got up, he would have taken a beating.

The knockdown may have been legit, but it's painfully obvious he could've gotten up by the count of 10. Hell he could've gotten up by the count of 3. He chose not to for whatever reason

I agree, Liston apparently didn't even want to be there, he was having huge disputes with his management and threatened to pull out of the fight, the first opportunity he saw to get out of there, he did.

I think the punch was legit, and he got put down because he was off balance, but he wasn't at all hurt. Ali knew damned well he wasn't hurt and that's why he was telling him to get up.

Ali whupped him badly in the first fight, and was going to whup him again, Liston didn't really fancy it at all.

Tye Fields vs Sherman Williams was *very* suspicious.

Williams just plodded after Fields, barely throwing a punch.

Williams wasn't a great fighter, but you only had to see what Monte Barrett did with him to realise a decent pro would knock him spark out.
