(He will do whatever Al tells him to do and Al needs cash)

YES, favorable risk reward ratio
(Its all about money)

NO, unfavorable risk reward ratio

It is professional boxing. It is all about the money / risk v reward. It is business, like it or not.

He will, it's very sad that he didn't do it about a year ago, but ok, I can understand he's scared and has a lot less to fear now since Povetkin is older and he's more experienced himself.
But he got no choice left, it's now or never and most refs in Russia are against the Russians, the Russians have allways accepted that, so there's absolutely no reason for Wilder to fear to go to Russia.

I can hear that orchestra of tiny violins in the background of every single one of your Wilder posts.

The pampered, over-protected Wilder probably soiled himself with fear when he learned he had to go to Russia.

He will go though, albeit very, VERY reluctantly. :verysad:

His handlers are telling him to go, they want their cut of the money.

I've never read anything so backwards. If anyone EVER had reluctance it was his handlers. He thinks he's the GOAT. All undefeated fighters do,

I voted YES-risk/reward, but all 3 "Yeses " are kind of the same, and the last 2 "No's" are kind of the same.

Where is the lost passport option?

Wilder will commit a crime in the States, his passport will be revoked, he will have a reason not to go to Russia. :-?

I did not put the 5th option there for decoration.

Jones, Wach, Browne, next Wilder.

Think about it. The best way to avoid paying him his split, which is the lions share, would be to fake a drug test.

I chose Yes, favorable risk reward ratio.

For the right amount of money any boxer will go anywhere.

I wouldn't if I were him. Russia is just way to sketchy. If I were a professional boxer there is zero chance I would ever agree to fight there.

If he goes, he'd best bring his own food.

I hear those clenbuterol steaks are pretty tough and hard to swallow.

If I was Wilder I wouldn't train in a Russia because you don't know what they will put in your food to make you test positive for something.
Remember the whole Russian Olympic team juices, so they won't pass an opportunity to showcase a "western" athlete that tested positive for something just so they make themselves look better.
If I was Deontay I would train in a country with a similar time zone like Georgia (in the mountains), Ukraine or maybe in the Baltics.

I don't think Wilder can afford not go. He would never live down the incident. Ali traveled around the world and fought in peoples backyards. If you are a champion then there is no excuse to not defend your title regardless of the location of the venue.

Heard a whisper that his team weren't keen of him going to Russia but he was adamant he was fighting there.

I was convinced even more when I heard him say that he become a world champion to make his daughter proud, and he'd defend the title anywhere in the world as he wouldn't want to let his daughter down or see him not be s champion.

Despite his obvious flaws technically, mentally he's a very sound fighter. I reckon the bronze bomber also has a big bronze set of balls. There's no coward in him and if he does lose I see him going out on his shield.

i agree. the bottom line is if your a fighting man you should not be bothered by the ifs and the buts and the whys and the wheres. just the opponent and the job at hand, which is fighting the opponent :box:

Sounds reasonable. Maybe he can stay in Poland, there must be some decent training facilities there. Then move in Russia couple of days before the fight, bringing his own food and drinks with him. And make sure those are well guarded at all times. :OhYes:

Sad for him to loose because Povetkin juicing but its much worse to see him loose because they sprinkled something in his soup.

*facepalm*, Povetkin doesn't juice... Has Wilder actually ever been tested in his previous fights? All I remember was Szpilka wondering why he hasn't been tested yet, because it was kinda odd around that point with Wilder involved.
