One of his victories would be preferable surely?Horse wrote:Week 12?
With Herol Graham in the hospital maybe we could do one of his fights.
Herol Graham vs Mike McCallum?

Much like Martin Murray: Herol Graham is more famous for his world level losses isn't he?Offal wrote:One of his victories would be preferable surely?
Re: British & Irish boxing 52 fight history knowledge challenge
As already noted he's unwell at the moment it would probably do more for his morale to see one of his victories.Horse wrote:Much like Martin Murray: Herol Graham is more famous for his world level losses isn't he?
How about the Chris Johnson fight?
Re: British & Irish boxing 52 fight history knowledge challenge
I don't think that fight is as interesting as the McCallum fight.Offal wrote:As already noted he's unwell at the moment it would probably do more for his morale to see one of his victories.

Okay then Horse you post what you want, it is YOUR thread after allHorse wrote:I don't think that fight is as interesting as the McCallum fight.
(Also, I suspect you don't know the significance of the Johnson fight)

What is the significance of the Johnson fight then?Offal wrote:Okay then Horse you post what you want, it is YOUR thread after all

I'm not actually sure how closely Herol is following this thread, but I'm sure he would appreciate the sentimentOffal wrote:As already noted he's unwell at the moment it would probably do more for his morale to see one of his victories.Horse wrote:Much like Martin Murray: Herol Graham is more famous for his world level losses isn't he?

If you're any sort of 'Boxing Historian' you really should know the significance of the Johnson fight Horse ![[icon_shame.gif] :shame:](./images/smilies/icon_shame.gif)

The first thing that I wrote in this thread:Offal wrote:If you're any sort of 'Boxing Historian' you really should know the significance of the Johnson fight Horse
Why don't you give a brief explanation of the Johnson fight's significance?Horse wrote:My knowledge of British & Irish boxing history is pretty rubbish.

Fair play to you Horse, I hadn't seen that postHorse wrote:The first thing that I wrote in this thread:Why don't you give a brief explanation of the Johnson fight's significance?Horse wrote:My knowledge of British & Irish boxing history is pretty rubbish.
However I suspect if I comply with your request you will simply dismiss the significance of the Johnson fight and post the McCallum one anyway.
So sorry ... NO

The Johnson fight is insignificant compared to the McCallum fight.Offal wrote:Fair play to you Horse, I hadn't seen that post![]()

Re: British & Irish boxing 52 fight history knowledge challenge
So why post this then?
The Johnson fight WAS highly significant (if you had a scrap of boxing knowledge you would be aware of that) it's a far more entertaining fight than the McCallum fight, everyone has seen the McCallum fight a million times and given that Herol is unwell at the moment I consider (as does Boxerbeetle above) that one of his victories is a more fitting tribute to the man.
The '?' does imply you're open to (dare I say it?) suggestions, I've made a suggestion you've dismissed it, you're clearly going to post the McCallum fight, why even enter into this debate with me?Horse wrote:Week 12?

I was asking for suggestions. I didn't like yours.Offal wrote:So why post this then?
You didn't defend your suggestion very well. No, they have not.Offal wrote:it's a far more entertaining fight than the McCallum fight, everyone has seen the McCallum fight a million times
Losing to McCallum was better than beating Johnson.Offal wrote:and given that Herol is unwell at the moment I consider (as does Boxerbeetle above) that one of his victories is a more fitting tribute to the man.

You don't this thread like your monthly rankings is your own self created kingdom, you make the rules Horse we all know that.
For months you've been posting your rankings on CHB, you always post 'open to suggestions etc' and ... you consistently ignore 'suggestions' then spend days bickering with people (as you are doing with here with me)
You really are a pathetic and pointless individual Horse, both forums would be better without you
Re: British & Irish boxing 52 fight history knowledge challenge
Had a PM from Horse ... Chris Johnson was a 'hype job'

You never really wanted the Johnson fight, you just wanted an argument.Offal wrote:You don't this thread like your monthly rankings is your own self created kingdom, you make the rules Horse we all know that.

Re: British & Irish boxing 52 fight history knowledge challenge
Any suggestions for weeks 13 & 14?
Re: British & Irish boxing 52 fight history knowledge challenge
Why bother asking Horse you'll only ignore any suggestions?Horse wrote:Any suggestions for weeks 13 & 14?
In all honesty it might be for the best if you packed the whole thing in, it's never attracted a great deal of interest, this has diminished every week (last weeks none whatsoever until you started begging) your petty and argumentative nature does little to encourage involvement frankly.
