Give the guy a break. He is Pakistani. Pakistan won a total of 3 Olympic golds -- all in field hockey.

Embarrassing for who? The "her" part suggests you mean Khan, but for most, lasting 11 rounds would be a major achievement for Khan.

Khan is clearly the man of those two. He got balls to move two divisions up which would be comparable to Canelo fighting Kovalev.

Khan's confidence is bordering on mental deficiency levels. He's an arrogant prick who comes out with some right shite. Still I always tune in not just hoping to see him get knocked out, but because he's usually in good fights. Hunter hasn't really helped that but he might have helped his longevity.

I guess they are doing a good job of marketing it though if anyone thinks Khan has a chance. He did say his power has tripled, he is faster, and his chin is much stronger. Do people actually believe him? He definitely is mentally challenged.
Now it's 13 picking Khan. And no I'm not one of the 13..

I think many people are overestimating the difference that Khan's speed will make and are giving him too much credit for his boxing skills. No doubt that he is very fast, but he's not slick and has been hit and hurt plenty by significantly slower opponents who are worse overall than Canelo. It's also not like he's massive at 147 and is obviously better suited for a higher division.

I'm very confident that Khan is not going to win.

18-13?

That's hilarious.

This fight isn't even remotely competitive. Once Canelo starts banging that body it will be full fledged retreat mode. No chance in hell Khan, if he can somehow keep his chin from failing, will win a decision against frigging Canelo when he's sprinting laps around the ring apron.

He's got balls alright but that doesn't mean he's going to win. He's willing to take a beating for a career high payday since he can't get one with Pac and Floyd. That's all this is about. Getting PAID. And then going back to his proper division. He's got nothing to lose other than getting busted up for his troubles.

True.

GingerHead has competed with better boxers who are at least as quick as Khan, who have far better chins. But the main point is that GingerHead is in a no win situation with the exception of the money while Khan is in a no lose situation with the exception of potential physical damage.

That combination of circumstances could make it interesting if GingerHead goes for the impressive KO early and fails.

Since I don't care for either guy, I think it will be embarrassing for Canelo that it takes so long to KO Khan. For Khan, getting KO'd again will re-affirm the fact that he does have a weak chin. He is basically a 3 or 4 round fighter. After that he fades and his greatest attribute, his speed, is nullified, gets timed, and he is in trouble. He can only put Canelo in headlocks to save himself, but he will eat vicious uppercuts that will cause him to do the chicken dance. I look forward to that. :TU:

Better boxers certainly, but I don't think Canelo has thought anyone as quick as Khan in terms of hand speed at least. It won't matter once Canelo times him of course.

Canelo, bigger, harder hitting, but most importantly, I think he is a better boxer than Khan.

It should be embarrassing for Canelo to defend his lineal MW title against a WW who isn't even a top one.

x2.

One must assume that Canelo is feeling embarrassed to some degree, which may lead to him trying too hard to impress the audience with an early KO.

This is going to be a boring fight for the most part.

Khan is going to box to orders & be ultra cautious & his insane speed will give Alvarez fits, but I see Khan slowing down & getting caught late & stopped.

Don't see it ending well for Khan. I can see Khan having some moments for 3-4 rounds and after that Canelo steps up the pressure..

Khan is fast but Lara and FMJ were quicker, overall, including their hands.

I see this as similar to Khan v Algieri. If Algieri had GingerHead's power he would have stopped Amir. The one thing that Gingerhead does not have that Algieri has is height, which leads to another decent comparison, Khan v Alexander. Devon is a very skilled boxer and Khan (that overused term) schooled him. Alexander is physically similar to GingerHead. Both are not as tall as their listed heights, IMO. I would be surprised if they were a full 5'8" in reality. Again, the difference is power.

GingerHead has been in with Trout, FMJ, Angulo, Lara, Kirkland, and Cotto in the last three years. It is very difficult to see Khan reaching a decision in this. He will do well to go four in my estimation.

Why do you think? Because BJS doesn't bring a 1-4 of the money that Canelo does.
