Can't argue Eubank Jr deserved the win. I still can't decide how to rate him though, he never looks particularly good to me and clearly isn't a puncher, but he won that convincingly.

Blackwell took too much early on and in the end was just too one paced, if you're going to fight on the front foot like that you have to be able to raise the tempo and set a fast pace and he didn't look capable of it tonight, Eubank could get away with throwing loads of punches because Blackwell didn't make him work when he wanted to rest.

Eubank looked genuinely pleased to win that belt, refreshing to see him not pretending to ponce around for a change.

Jesus. Suicidal on the inside. Needed to do something to block the uppercut. To be fair he was outclassed.

He's obviously world levelish, so where does he go from here the big money with BJS or another route?

Fantastic fight. I had Junior winning by some distance, but Blackwell was magnificent too. If he'd just managed to get a few more meaningful retorts in I'd have scored a lot closer.

No idea what's happening in Brook/Bizier, but anyone who watched that over this wants their head checking.

Seeing the gobshite Saunders getting into Eubank Snr's face with the belt before the opening bell was one of the bleakest things I've seen.

It was like Vanilla Ice goading Rakim.

Shit. Hope he's ok. He did look spent going into that last round. He sounded defeated in between rounds the last couple. Could perhaps have been stopped a tad earlier did become one way traffic.

Christ, everyone's wise after the even on Channel 5 saying it should have been stopped earlier. Blackwell came right back into it in rnds 7 & 8 where maybe some other refs might have stopped it. Personally cant fault Loughlin at all. Blackwell was always 'in' the fight, even if miles behind on the cards.

i didnt suggest that Blackwell was badly hurt. I said other refs such as the 2 i mentioned would have proberly stopped the fight.

It looks so easy watching on telly to block those uppercuts but they are catching some very good fighters out. Eubank looked very good, is improving and looks a very solid fighter now. I hope Nick can get back soon and pick up again, he was a bit too basic tonight but lost to a class fighter.
