Ward v Barrera RBR
Re: Ward v Barrera RBR
Barrera 188, SOGgy 186.
Re: Ward v Barrera RBR
SOGgy looks TOO relaxed to me. Whatever.
Re: Ward v Barrera RBR
Round 1 = SOGgy does not look warmed up to me. Here we go.
Chess to start. SOGgy shooting mid section body jab. Good left. Little to know clinching. SOGgy totally under control in the round.
10-9 SOGgy

Re: Ward v Barrera RBR
About as I would have expected - Ward is plenty big enough for light heavyweight, the question is whether his power is enough to get Barrera's respect.Tanzio wrote:Barrera 188, SOGgy 186.
Re: Ward v Barrera RBR
Round 2 = Ward boxing beautifully so far. Barrera lands good right hand. Barrera is backing Ward up, not the other way. Barrera slipping punches better now. Ward lands good left hand at the bell which may have won him the round. Very close though

Re: Ward v Barrera RBR
Ward doesn't have his usual advantage inside, but he is faster and more accurate outside. Barrera needs to up pressure and workrate.

Round 6 = Ward has completely dominated this so far. Barrera finally lands two bodies and pays to the head. Barrera left. Ward comes on to take the round at the end.

Round 7 = Barrera busier, no matter how ineffective. Very close round. I think that Barrera squeaked by there.

Re: Ward v Barrera RBR
Round 8 = Ward consciously NOT clinching, btw. Body shot puts him down. Now they call it a low blow. It was low. Missed if they took a point. Wasn't that low.

Re: Ward v Barrera RBR
Round 9 = Barrera is a tough SOB. that was not low. The left hook all day and body. I think Ward may have damaged his right hand.

Round 10 = Warning Ward for headbutt but Ward is cut. BS. Nice right uppercut Barrera. Ward closes strong.

Re: Ward v Barrera RBR
Round 11 = Ward lands lefts. Barrera right. Ward lands an unusual right. Ward very seldom pulling the trigger on his right hand. Now he throws it. Close round but Ward is in total control.
