Stevenson wouldn't be a mismatch, but Ward would have better chances than against the two Russians.
First of all, Beterbiev has all of 9 victories, his last being 9 months ago against a no hoper. He has nothing on the schedule yet. He is 31 years old and he intends to fight once a year for the rest of his career? Put him in with Eleider or Barrera or Chilemba or Pascal or Rodriguez or anyfukingbody and let's see what he's got.
I'd love to see Stevenson v Ward. I think that Ward likely stops him but Adonis is underrated by some. He could KTFO Ward.
Beterbiev had a shoulder surgery which is why he hasn't fought. He is scheduled to fight in June. Hopefully he will fight some top 10 guy within 3-4 months after that.
Hopefully he has fully recovered and does not end up serially injured. There are plenty of great fights to make with him.
What I do not understand is how you would not consider Ward v Beterbiev a mismatch in Ward's favor at the moment. Nothing against him but Beterbiev is not ready for Krusher or Ward at the moment, IMO.

I think he is ready for both. He had huge amateur experience and has monstrous power including great inside game. I think it is 60/40 in Kovalev's favor against him and 65/35 in his favor against Ward.

Nice to have such confidence. Hopefully he fully recovers and we get to see the fights.
I would favor Ward over Beterbiev and Kovalev over Ward at the moment.
