Peter Jackson, "The Black Prince", is not listed as a member of the International Boxing Hall of Fame but he is, having been inducted in 1990.

Young Peter Jackson, "The Black Demon", is listed as being a member. He has yet to be inducted into the IBHOF.

I'm surprised to see that Young Peter Jackson is still listed as an IBHOF inductee and Peter Jackson isn't. I thought the correction would have been made by now.

I received an email from David Martinez, the boxing historian for the WBHOF. "The Black Prince" Peter Jackson was inducted into the WBHOF not Young Peter Jackson. Mr. Martinez explained that the 1999 banquet program erroneously listed Young Peter Jackson as an inductee but that it was supposed to have been Peter Jackson.

So, heavyweight Peter Jackson, "The Black Prince", is a member of BOTH the IBHOF and the WBHOF and featherweight Young Peter Jackson, "The Black Demon", is not.

I realize this not a "records" correction but it does pertain to things that should be corrected in the Encyclopedia section of the BoxRec site.

Actually anybody, including you, can edit the encyclopedia portion. Sometimes I wonder if people actually realize that.

I see that Peter Jackson is now listed as a member of both the IBHOF and the WBHOF. Thank you.

Young Peter Jackson is no longer listed as a member of the WBHOF but is still listed under the IBHOF. As I reported earlier, he has not been inducted as of yet (at least he is not listed among the enshrinees on the IBHOF's website).

Thank you for correcting the listing for the IBHOF pertaining to Young Peter Jackson as well.
