Given that Joshua doesn't have the downside of being a weightdrainy yellowbreasted cowardly ratfuck, is a pretty stark statement of what a pudendum I think he is....

For the most part I thought he came across as a nice guy when he posted here...there were just some things that seemed to set him off a bit.Boxerbeetle wrote:Bellew seems like a good guy, just as long as he's not talking about his own career.Stuarty30 wrote:I can't go that dick splash Broner or Danny Garcia. Thanks. I believe I outline my beliefs in my post quite well. So, in short - I dislike Joshua (not massively, but to some degree) because of the following reasons: obvious PR machine and quotes, the fakeness, the Hearn arrogance, probable PED usage, the hype machine from the Olympics (including losing 2 fights), the press favourance.... Oh and his smarmy look! Is that clear enough bro?Stuarty30 wrote:Nice commentreggaereggae wrote:Patriotic? Not very patriotic. I also think he lost they two fights in the Olympics. Was a bit embarrassing. Hearn is a glitter sacks playboy who loves the attention. He'll be in the papers for a while yet!![]()
Regardless, boxing is an individual sport so is less linked to passport owner. Eg did / would you definitively support Alan Minter vs Hagler, despite his comments? What about Zola Budd, who controversially represented UK despite being clearly South African?
The whole point is that AJ and his groupie Eddie Hearn wind me up and are both as fake as a marmite sun tan...so, for personality and hype reasons, as well as the commercial rip off angle. Martin seems like a cool guy, easy going. So I will be supporting him. Also the title is a joke anyway, Tyson Fury is the only world heavyweight champDo you dislike AJ because of his popularity or because he is with Hearn or a bit of both? I quite like the guy but I dislike Hearn more n more recently. AJ seems an alright kinda guy when you see him on TV. Martin seems alright also but he has the potential to be a massive bell end!
PS.. If you are not on board with the PC Nazis then you are a massive racist! That's the rules in today's society I think.

Rumours, but everything is a rumour until proven. I had a boxing insider tell me some big names who were juicing/HGHing etc. it is widespread. Testing in boxing is awful and there are loads of masking agents and unregulated products....Stuarty30 wrote:I catch your point man yeahreggaereggae wrote:Thanks. The PEDs thing? Is there rumours about that or is your assumption just based on his looks? I've never hear/read anything about that?
Re: Anthony Joshua vs. Charles Martin (c) - April 9th 2016
Names from here? I have to admit I don't know much about that side of things. It's a disgusting thing to do. It can't add to your talent at the end of the day.reggaereggae wrote:Rumours, but everything is a rumour until proven. It can't add to your talent, big it can add to your strength, power, stamina, endurance. Look at Lance Armstrong... A very highly tested sport but he didn't fail for yearsStuarty30 wrote:Names from here? I have to admit I don't know much about that side of things. It's a disgusting thing to do. Re: Anthony Joshua vs. Charles Martin (c) - April 9th 2016
anybody got a date and time on Martin vs. Joshua: Gloves Are Off?
Re: Anthony Joshua vs. Charles Martin (c) - April 9th 2016
I expect they'll air it the week of the fight. It's pretty pointless with Joshua though because he doesn't really trash talk. Even Martin doesn't really seem much of a talker. I've felt a bit sorry for Martin in each interview, because they're trying to get something out of him, get him to talk some talk to give the fight more of a platform. But in the end, he just seems a bit of a normal nice guy. I think this fight will be done in the ring, where the fight should usually take place.
All the crap WEEKS before the Fury/Klitchko fight. The build up was more entertaining than the fight! One of the reasons I like Joshua is that he keeps the crap down to a minimum, and concentrates on the task. Sounds like Martin is the same.

how Charles martin is a world champion baffles me. he beat Tom Dallas in his last couple of fights ago (no disrespect)to tom, but i remember David price knocking tom out like a rag doll a couple of years back. best not take that belt out side ,it will blow away or melt

It's not the best! I'm not a fan of these face to face hype the fight chats though.
Not much is actually said between the two, at one point it goes silent for what seems like two minutes!

The Gloves are off, face to face spin offs have kinda gone a bit stale. I think unless the two opponents genuinely do hate each other then there is not much to be seen.

Anyone have any info on the draw on martins record ?

I can't see it happening but I would love for Martin to spark Joshua.
He just really rubs me up the wrong way somehow and I can't explain why. I mean, Fury acts like a prick but I can't help but like him and get the feeling that beneath all the bluster he's actually a decent guy. Joshua though acts like a nice guy on TV and interviews and such but he somehow just oozes prick.

Re: Anthony Joshua vs. Charles Martin (c) - April 9th 2016
A lot of the experts are saying that this is Joshua's biggest test, and that Charles Martin is a dangerous operator etc etc. But let's be honest here, take away the World title belt, and is Martin that much more dangerous than Whyte?
He still has an atrocious record, and only won the belt against a very average Glazkov (who is seriously in the wrong weight division), which most who can handle themselves in the ring would beat.
No doubt Martin can pack a punch, but his movement and footwork doesn't leave much to be desired. Even Joshua with his straight line movement and static head moves more than Martin.
How anyone can see this as anything more than another blow out is beyond me.

Re: Anthony Joshua vs. Charles Martin (c) - April 9th 2016
Yeah that was bad. Cringe-worthy.
I feel a bit sorry for Martin, he literally come off the plane, did his presser, and then straight to the studio to do the Gloves off. He didn't know what to say, so he just said anything, whether or not it was relevant to the question or not.
Nelson: "What round?"
Martin: "I'm the champ....I'm the champ..."
Cheers Charles.

Re: Anthony Joshua vs. Charles Martin (c) - April 9th 2016
I am tempted to put some money on martin via late round stoppage
Joshua will struggle in the championship rounds and I do not want to miss out out on odds of 50 to 1 plus
