Mayweather wouldn't of stopped Bizier quicker then Brook if at all, styles make fights and unfortunately I cant see Kova demolishing Ward. So true. In the Manny fight, Floyd would duck down and hold Manny on the ropes and was never warned once for it. Imagine if Floyd didn't get to pick the ref and judges every fight? We saw what happened in the first fight with Maidana. The ref actually called it fairly for once and Floyd struggled through the whole fight. Ward has a beard against one of the worst divisions in boxing, the Super Middleweight Division. Big Deal. He's never seen anything like Kovalev and that's why Ward is begging for as many tune ups as he can get. At this rate, Ward should be ready by 2024. lol. You can't beat Kovalev without a right hand. That short left Ward throws is a nice punch but you can't win a fight against a complete boxer like Kovalev. We will see what happens when he faces Kovalev, sure Sergey would've destroyed Barrera because he hits harder and is a "Natural" LHW whereas Andre' is just coming to the weight class and took on one of the top fighters in it and knocked him down, clowned him, took his best shots and completely outclassed and frustrated a Bigger man and made it look relatively easy all the while standing right in the pocket the vast majority of the time.
Hate on but I'm willing to bet you whatever amount you want when he and Sergey hook up. Don't get me wrong; Sergey has earned my respect for him, dude is a Beast and will be bringing it but let's not forget that power won't mean that much if you are unable to land it cleanly or often enough.
Don't forget Ward has a pretty good beard (very underrated one), and has great defense; he was very rusty in the bout with Sullivan and his timing was off so at times he looked a little sloppy but another fight or two and then Kov and we have a totally different fight.

In all of the fights that i've seen holding penalized by the ref, the fights were awesome. Boxers like Ward and Floyd actually work on this in camp and it's part of their strategy. How many times have you seen Floyd throw that sneaky straight right hand lead and then immediately clutch right after he throws it? Floyd and Ward's whole game plan is a series of small combos followed by a clutch to avoid any counters. exactly. i mean, if excessive holding, clinching or wrestlng would be legal in boxing, than i would say mayweather won, but yet still i dont like his fighting style. but it is not legal and the bought refs, they act if excessive holding is okay, they simply change the rules book and most boxing fans have no clue about rules, so it is okay to them, they simple dont know better. but proffessional refferys and jduges, they should know better, its their job to know better, turning the had 180, clinching as soon as you're opponent comes close to you is illegal, delivering one punch and than hold the arm of your opponent with your elbow is illegal.
