Someone had mentioned on here the other week that there was another promoter heading to 5 so that would make sensewesshaw1985 wrote:I think the McGuigans are in line to take over the C5 deal from Hennesey...Stuarty30 wrote:Good news. Hopefully on ITV

Great timing by the promoter.
Existing world champion in Haskins, good domestic product in Kennedy and Selby is a potential future superstar.

this is great news if the bills get shown on free to air TV .
Re: Cyclone and Sanigar co-promote Lee Haskins first title defence.
I'd completely forgotten that Haskins is a world title holder
Re: Cyclone and Sanigar co-promote Lee Haskins first title defence.
This, I'd quite like to see Sanigar, Cyclone and Hennesey etc share Ch5 dates.rd350lc wrote:this is great news if the bills get shown on free to air TV .

Morales, then talk of Yamanaka in Autumn, then the Hall vs Guerrero winner next year... Could be a sensational 12 months for the Playboy

Article unfortunately confirms that Frampton is not included in this deal, disappointing but expected I guess.Stuarty30 wrote:Would imagine so mate. Hopefully.JimJim2009 wrote:Does that mean they get Frampton fights live ?Stuarty30 wrote:

Fantastic that Channel 5 will still continue with boxing although a real shame they don't do it with a couple of promoters and keep Fat Micks shows on too. In fact it would be nice to have promoters working together to put on really good domestic undercards for free TV, as Mick could have done with some help on the undercard for Saturday.
Re: Cyclone and Sanigar co-promote Lee Haskins first title defence.
That is unfortunate. Where do you think that leaves Frampton then? I know the guy from premier sports is looking to get involved with boxing again as he previously did with Setanta. Carl's fights will end up going to the highest bidder.mfc_se15 wrote:Article unfortunately confirms that Frampton is not included in this deal, disappointing but expected I guess.Stuarty30 wrote:Would imagine so mate. Still a good deal. Looking forward to following Josh Taylor's progression on 5. Some good exposure there for him.

Never seen Morales. Is he much good?
He's not exactly highly ranked on boxrec and no names on his resume really stand out except for Canchila who I think held a world title at some point? May be wrong there though.

What it says, Feampton fights aren't included in the deal, any dates which feature Frampton will be added on outside the deal. So channel 5 will show Frampton fights.mfc_se15 wrote:Article unfortunately confirms that Frampton is not included in this deal, disappointing but expected I guess.Stuarty30 wrote:Would imagine so mate.
