Which of the following boxers should go into the Hall of Fame?
Here's a list of boxers at the end of their careers.
Choose the ones you think deserve to be voted in.
What about those who have tested positive for PEDs?

Jones, Toney, Hopkins and Floyd are shoe ins.
Froch and Adamek are decent picks
Vitali would have been if he'd wanted to be. His heart has been in politics and trying to help his country, no shame in that. Kinda hurt his boxing career tho. 10 times the fighter baby Wlad ever was imo.

jones, floyd, toney, froch, hopkins
Re: Which of the following boxers should go into the Hall of Fame?
All of them will probably get on with the way boxing lets people in the hall. I'd love to see boxing adopt a policy that makes it harder to get in the HOF like baseball. There's no way Sly Stallone should be a HOF'er for pretending to be a great boxer. That was silly regardless of what those movies did for recognition of the sport.
I do agree with Al Bernstein and Jim Lampley getting in but I think it was way too premature to enduct them. Wait till they retire like every other sport

No way Toney the doper gets in. Maybe if they started a Hall of Infamy...

There's apparently a few people who voted for Froch, but not Toney. These few people don't have the slightest clue about boxing.

Maybe some people don't appreciate the PEDs.Lackeos wrote:There's apparently a few people who voted for Froch, but not Toney. These few people don't have the slightest clue about boxing.

Toney, Jones, Hopkins, Mayweather are locks whenever they become eligible for HOF induction.
Froch also deserves HOF induction imo.
Not sure on Vitali, borderline candidate imo. I won't be disappointed either way, if he gets in that's great, if not that's great too.

Stallone was absolutely deserving. There is also a guy in the HOF for painting Ali and Frazier. Always cracks me up when people list Stallone, he deserves to be in way more than gatti.caldo2025 wrote:All of them will probably get on with the way boxing lets people in the hall. Re: Which of the following boxers should go into the Hall of Fame?
If it were up to me:
Toney, Hopkins, Floyd, and Jones would be definite. I am on the fence about vitali but would probably lean towards yes.
No to the rest. I can see the argument for froch but in my opinion he was never the best in his division and only fought in one division. I have no probable with guys staying in one division, but you better rule it. I can't say froch ever did.
Based on how unselective the boxing hall is, they all probably get in. It really is a joke.

Dawson dominantly beat 3 people on that list. He certainly should get in ahead of Adamek. The abrupt decline is why I left him off.Loudpack wrote:Everybody, except Dawson and Tarver
Re: Which of the following boxers should go into the Hall of Fame?
Toney, Floyd, Hopkins, Roy Jones Jr., Vitali
Possibly Froch, but he's on the bubble.
Briggs is nowhere near HOF worthy

Dawson and Tarver are WAY more worthy than Briggs. Briggs shouldn't even be in the conversation.Loudpack wrote:Everybody, except Dawson and Tarver
Re: Which of the following boxers should go into the Hall of Fame?
Hop, Floyd, Roy, Toney, and Froch.
Vitali's opposition is too weak to make him a clear yes but I think he'll get in.

Re: Which of the following boxers should go into the Hall of Fame?
Mayweather and Hopkins, Toney, Jones and Vitali are all drug cheats, so they belong in a Hall of Shame, not fame, Mayweather can join them there if it's conclusively proved that he was on drugs during his career. The rest didn't have good enough careers to be in the Hall of Fame IMO.
Re: Which of the following boxers should go into the Hall of Fame?
Mayweather and Hopkins have never once failed a drug test. Assuming they've used PED's doesn't make it so. Vitali never failed a drug test as a Professional either.expe wrote:Mayweather and Hopkins, Toney, Jones and Vitali are all drug cheats, so they belong in a Hall of Shame, not fame, Mayweather can join them there if it's conclusively proved that he was on drugs during his career.
