Re: Next For David Price?
Their are so very many possible scenarios out there. I guess Andy Price too much hey!No wait..Andy Ruiz. O-k..I have two (2) computers up this min. HVY-wt BoxRec ratings. Price rated probably page three. "Yup!" Holy cow I'm right...he's at very top of page! So..the obvious fight for him is against Dereck Chisora but...that would take big balls! [Dereck rated last on page one.. = #20. Price #41]. Shoot...Christian Hammer #19 & 19-4-0 looks easy! Steve Cumningham #13 could be a test he can pass! Antonio Tarver #12....weigh it if the "money" is intriguing. Malik Scott #9,same! Lucas Browne #8 would destroy David Price..forget that!vs Jun Long Zhang (China) 12-0 (12 KO's)!is a test he can get thru (we think). That's internationally intriguing! Nagy Aguilera #45 20-9-0 is "always" a good test!Cazelo wrote:He needs a non banger who can take him rounds or at least give him a confidence boost. No doubt we will see chisora vs price at some point
Note: interesting BoxRec at 12:07 AM 4/3/16 has David Haye rated #47 one notch below #46 Shannon Briggs.
Re: Next For David Price?
Dave Allen is the one calling his name, I'd like to see that fight.

Re: Next For David Price?
Thompson though VERY HARD! (Deceptively difficult. & he may of been at his height when he faced David Price)
Who is... DAVID ALLEN you say (?) -typing you can't "check- back"-
Maybe if Price were to disrupt his regiment now and take on a few "twists" in training he can mature- yet& still. (????)
He could be STUCK now? John Wilkinson reference this stream and BoxRec we're straight text is fine 860-515-7680 only David Price • let him know.

Re: Next For David Price?
He will hand Allen's ass to him. And I for one will punch the air.
Re: Next For David Price?
That's what he's spent most of his career doing and then proceeds to get ktfo when he steps up in competition. He might aswell just skip the knocking out the cans part.Starboxer wrote:Price should knock over a few soft marshmallows and Cash out in a big fight

Re: Next For David Price?
Price is still plenty dangerous against sub standard opposition and especially against fighters he will be confident against. That's why Dave Allen would get his head taken off his shoulders like Dallas and Sexton did before him. In fact, he's not even on their level, certainly not Sexton.
Re: Next For David Price?
I agree. It's not like he's been found out against domestic level opposition, but of course he has crushed opponents of that caliber.lillywhite14 wrote:Price is still plenty dangerous against sub standard opposition and especially against fighters he will be confident against. Perhaps his confidence is shot and he can't even cut it there anymore, but I'd expect him to do pretty well against people like Allen.
Re: Next For David Price?
You suggest he goes straight to the getting knocked the fornicate out stage of his career?lefty wrote:That's what he's spent most of his career doing and then proceeds to get ktfo when he steps up in competition. Re: Next For David Price?
David Price....with the right mental attitude, can still be a decent boxer. He has a lot of power, but has completely lost his bottle since the TT fights. He needs to go back to doing what he did well, instead of incessant pawing with the jab. It would be interesting to know where Price would be now if Thompson didn't get up from the knockdown in their second fight. Having just picked up an early stoppage to prove that the initial loss was a freak result, I am sure he would have done on to an eliminator.

Re: Next For David Price?
What exactly is the point of him knocking over a couple of cans again? He might aswell just cash out straight away.davie wrote:You suggest he goes straight to the getting knocked the eff out stage of his career?lefty wrote:That's what he's spent most of his career doing and then proceeds to get ktfo when he steps up in competition. Re: Next For David Price?
I like Pricey and wish him well, although he'll be sparked again in no time if he keeps fighting. Whenever I think back to those Thompson fights I also think of Moloney and how he lost his bollox over it.
