Boxing su"§$/s...........AGAIN
for the 10000000000000000000000000 times a fight between 2 elite boxers of 1 division, both in prime fails to be made. walthers vs loma wont happen, they cant finilyze the deal for whatever reason.
so ward is taking in a another c level boxer, no kovalev.
crawford wont get in the ring with postol.
inoue and carlos cuadros, the 2 best super flyeights wont fight either, instead they taking on nobodys.
and well ggg, he wont never get a name opponent, cause he is to strong.
thank you floyd mayweather and al haymon, you guys made ducking popular, now its all over boxing............

There has never been an era where all the best fights got made. There were just a much larger pool of good fighters and they fought more often.

Re: Boxing su"§$/s...........AGAIN
Just when you thought you've read it all, those last two lines are totally stupid. Who did Floyd duck? Honestly dude rant was pretty just up to the point of Crawford supposedly ducking Postol and GGG not having a named opponent because he's too strong.Chepppaaa wrote:for the 10000000000000000000000000 times a fight between 2 elite boxers of 1 division, both in prime fails to be made. walthers vs loma wont happen, they cant finilyze the deal for whatever reason.

There are plenty of name worthy opponents for Crawford and Postol to face and there are plenty for GGG to face at SMW so let's not act if everyone is ducking him.
Re: Boxing su"§$/s...........AGAIN
There are even more at LHW, CW and HW, but weight classes are there for a reason. Canelo doesn't even want to fight at a full limit of the weight class where he holds titles, but Golovkin needs to move up ? Nice logic ... Oh, I forgot that logic doesn't apply when you hate somebody.Undefeated49-0 wrote:Just when you thought you've read it all, those last two lines are totally stupid. Who did Floyd duck? Re: Boxing su"§$/s...........AGAIN
Gee GGG should go up and clean out the heavyweight division now Klitschko is gone - that may actually get some credibility....flood ducked people is old and bullshit. I think boxing is going well. You don't like it switch to ufc - oh no don't do that they are having the same issues!!

stop that crap. when vargas, mosley, tito, de la hoya, everybody faced everybody. in the same time in smaller divisions barrera and morales went against each other. the level of ducking today is at an al time high, cant compare this to other era.
Re: Boxing su"§$/s...........AGAIN
It's clearly the Pussy Era in Boxing and that's how i'm going to choose to remember it. Boxers nowadays don't even try to hide their pussy-ness. I'm sure that there were plenty of them around in the 80s but no boxer wanted to ever be considered one so they took tough fights to prove it.Chepppaaa wrote:for the 10000000000000000000000000 times a fight between 2 elite boxers of 1 division, both in prime fails to be made. walthers vs loma wont happen, they cant finilyze the deal for whatever reason.

Canelo and Cotto both talked tough in the post fight interview saying that they are afraid of no man and will take on GGG. The fans roar and then a month later they say "F....That! No freaking way i'm fighting him unless GGG agrees to fight me when he's sucked out and as weak as he possibly could be so that i have a better chance
Think about that. It's crazy.

exactly. but now so many are pussy. i mean 500.000 $ is good money its half a million dollar, walthers would never make as much money in any fight, but he says no to the offer to fight loma.
luck there is a small percentage who take risk and fight the best, with wilder who will go to moscow. but sad that there is only a small % left. i hate ward, chickenstevenson.....

Tito didn't fight quartey, Forrest or shane, neither did Whitaker, Morales and Marquez didn't fight each other, neither fought hamed. You're welcome.Chepppaaa wrote:SaadOffTheDeck wrote:There has never been an era where all the best fights got made. There were just a much larger pool of good fighters and they fought more often.

you totaly showed your stupidity right there. no, tito didnt faced vernon, instead he fought vargas and much more dangerous bernard hopkins!!
morales started his career 93, at 55 kg. at that time pernell was boxing at 65, so again stop making stupid remarks.
hamed pretty much ended his career after barrera, otherwise morales and hame would surely have had a meeting.
Re: Boxing su"§$/s...........AGAIN
I've watched boxing for a pretty long time and it does seem like there are more obstacles to making fights than ever. It is undoubtedly true that big fights have failed to materialize in every era, but off hand, I agree with the OP, boxing seems to have broken into so many separate entities all seeming to possess veto power on a fight, that it is a wonder anything big gets made what with TV, promoters and alphabet trinkets all exerting influence. It's a shame too, because I will always believe that the fighters overwhelmingly (not every single one) want to fight, all they want is money; which is there. All of which means that we are just that close to seeing many fights we want to see, pretty sad.

Re: Boxing su"§$/s...........AGAIN
Boxing definitely sucks now, he just doesn't understand the whole picture. I've been watching for 40 years and there were always fights you wanted to see and didn't, they just made other good fights instead and with the promotional rift now and depleted talent there just isn't the other options there used to be. Sanchez/Pedroza was thwarted by the WBA/WBC feud, but they both had good fights anyway. No depth now.jas80s wrote:I've watched boxing for a pretty long time and it does seem like there are more obstacles to making fights than ever. And Tito was a Welterweight champion for many years, he fought for Don King and on Showtime. The other major players fought on HBO. The network rift then prevented many fights, but there were so many more top fighters the sport was still great. That's the main point, expert, if GGG/Canelo fought tomorrow, where is GGG's next huge fight?

back than some big fights, lets say 30 % werent made.
in this era, most of the big fights, easily 70 % arent made.
there has never been a more pussy era than this one.

Joshua vs Martin and Wilder vs Povetkin are pretty good.

It sucks that I am losing interest fast. I've been a die hard boxing fan for 20 years now. This is the first time I have found my interest waning. Sad but true fact, and not really trying to start an MMA vs Boxing debate here, but, depending on the actual card, you will find better quality match ups on one UFC PPV than you will in a few months worth of boxing..... and I'm not exaggerating.

Not that it will ever, ever happen, but boxing would do well to follow the paradigm of the UFC...totally agree, as I am sure we all do.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:UFC is well worth the money.Impractical Poster wrote:Can't argue with this.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:And Tito was a Welterweight champion for many years, he fought for Don King and on Showtime. The real question is, will the reverse happen? Will the vice like grip held by the UFC be broken at some point by a smart, perhaps obstinant fighter(s) who refuses to cave and leads MMA down the path to self imposed marginality that boxing has taken?

I'm not calling anyone out here as I agree with the post, but did anyone catch that Deontay Wilder was just deputized into an argument about fighters who are willing to take the tough fights?? Wow, that is some off the charts irony...
