CHARLES MARTIN: LEAST IMPRESSIVE HIGHLIGHTS EVER?
This might be the weakest 'highlights' package I have ever seen.
Martin obviously has no power, moves as gracefully as a drunk Audley Harrison & has never defeated a breathing human.

The only true highlight reel KO Martin is ever going to provide will be the cataclysmic one he suffers Saturday night at the hands of 'Stealth Psycho' Anthony Joshua.

I don't know, Whyte caused a fair few problems, and he's nowhere near as good a boxer as Martin. I think Martin has gotten better in later fights too.
BTW here is probably Whyte's best win.

This fight could be interesting since it's two fighters with a lot of question marks,

You should let him hit you on the chin. I'm sure it would bounce off.Tuan_Jim wrote:This might be the weakest 'highlights' package I have ever seen.

I'm not out of shape enough to be a Charles Martin opponent.lefty wrote:You should let him hit you on the chin. I'm sure it would bounce off.Tuan_Jim wrote:This might be the weakest 'highlights' package I have ever seen.

Expect a call from David Haye sometime in late May then.Tuan_Jim wrote:I'm not out of shape enough to be a Charles Martin opponent.lefty wrote:You should let him hit you on the chin. I'm sure it would bounce off.Tuan_Jim wrote:This might be the weakest 'highlights' package I have ever seen.

Really all those highlights show is is how fat people fall over after being punched by Martin.
Interestingly Hearn was asked who he thought would win in between Martin and Whyte. He said Whyte would win (no big surprise). How does everyone else see that on going?

I think Whyte would win as well haven't been impressed by what I have seen of Martin so far hopefully he will surprise us all on Saturday and make a good fight of itRob3_142 wrote:Really all those highlights show is is how fat people fall over after being punched by Martin.

Oh deary me; he carries his head like it's on a pikestaff, Joshua will be like a kid at a coconut shy just lining up to knock his block off.
The only asset I see there is he has quick hands ; but almost all his power shots seem to be hooks, Joshua's long straight shots will get there first.
I think I need to lump 20 quid on a 1st round KO.
I see a very quick end to this.

Re: CHARLES MARTIN: LEAST IMPRESSIVE HIGHLIGHTS EVER?
I was considering doing the same but I think it might be a bit of a cagey start with neither guy committing or doing much. When I start arguing with myself over a bet then it's usually best to just leave itjamesmcdonnell wrote:Oh deary me; he carries his head like it's on a pikestaff, Joshua will be like a kid at a coconut shy just lining up to knock his block off.

I might put 10 quid on rounds 1 and 2. I can see 1st round not much happening. It's a title fight and nerves will be a little frayed.Stuarty30 wrote:I was considering doing the same but I think it might be a bit of a cagey start with neither guy committing or doing much. I can see martin being to aphrehensive and getting tagged late in the first round.

Yes, and he doesn't look very hard to hit. If there's still 8-1 I think I'm tempted, at least then if it's over quick I'll be celebrating.Rexob wrote:I can see martin being to aphrehensive and getting tagged late in the first round.
Re: CHARLES MARTIN: LEAST IMPRESSIVE HIGHLIGHTS EVER?
Forget Whyte - I want to see Martin vs De Mori (and I am actually being a tad serious).
The travesty of the situation is that Martin's reign is already longer than Tony Tucker's and Bonecrusher Smith - two fighters who would have absolutely destroyed him.

Re: CHARLES MARTIN: LEAST IMPRESSIVE HIGHLIGHTS EVER?
Whyte would beat Martin, in fact I'd give Gary Cornish and even Kevin Johnson (if he bothered to get in shape) a 50/50 chance against Martin.Rob3_142 wrote:Really all those highlights show is is how fat people fall over after being punched by Martin.

But then I predicted Stiverne to beat Wilder and Klitscho to beat Fury, so I wouldn't listen to me if I was you.

ive lumped £100 on 1&2 KO for Joshua
which means it wont happen as I haven't won a boxing bet since Khan/Salita

my actual bet is:-Rexob wrote:I'm tempted by that bet.sweetscience wrote:ive lumped £100 on 1&2 KO for Joshua

£50 @ 8/1 1st rounds
£50 @ 4/1 1st or 2nd
so win either £700 ish or £250
or ZERO
