About the Troy rematch, i was surprised at the first fight and didn't expect Troy to bully Cuenca that bad... it being allowed i guess was no surprise.

Cuenca is such a good fighter when it comes to execution. He uses timing and footwork to stay out of reach or apply precise quick combos. Such a good focus veteran is bound to come into the rematch with solid adjustments.

Adjustments should include much much more elusive movements and footwork early... Troy is after all a pretty simple bully puncher...

Problem is the new adjustments would lead to a decision win unless cuenca cumulates lots of damage in the last tier which i doubt... a decision in Russia vs Troy in a close fight feels highly unprobable.

Kuzmin has the pop and decent hands.
Image

He already has beaten some decent gatekeeper names.
Image

But so far he showed he didn't have the stamina to end his fights strong and active. He is relying on his pop to gain respect and then do the minimum and eventually maybe stop his opponent...

He has enough hand skills and pop to be a force, but so far, doesn't have the work rate... we'll see if it improves

We've seen Airich go down harder than usual lately...
Image

Airich would have a shot on activity level a few years ago but i think he gets put out cold in this one

I think it's a good decision from Kuzmin's handlers to wait before fighting Tereshkin because Kuzmin was less than impressive last time out.

Maslov has talent there is no doubt about it.
Image

He can move and has quick good hands in combos.
Image

Main problem is he fought at heavyweight and doesn't really have pop vs decent opposition. A move at cruiser is wise for him and opens up a LOT of possiblity with the cruiser scene in Russia.

He should be able to KO Cabral like every decent opponents who faced him
Image

This is a confidence builder for a new lighter weight class for Maslov

Cabral's 4th fight in 4 months in 2016

The top of the bill rematch is a intriguing close fight but I edge The Russian to stop him.
Got to question Cuencas heart after the first fight.
Not the best undercard but I will give it a watch.

Funny how Russians don't even bother to use English speaking judges in fights involving foreign opponents.

Good win for Troyanovski.

Kuzmin is a very interesting prospect. He's got a nice resume for someone with so few fights, but at 28 he needs to make a move. I've seen him twice and he's looked, but a bit pedestrian. I really don't know what his ceiling is.

Man, Troy v. Cuenca was boring as fornicate. I turned it off. :brick:

If I don't have to watch either of those two again, I'd be happy. I'll only watch Troy fight again if it's against someone significant.
