David Haye vs. Arnold Gjergjaj - May 21st 2016
Re: David Haye vs. Arnold Gjergjaj - May 21st 2016
Haye deserves respect for giving blackwell 10% of ticket sales anyone who says other wise is being twisted
If it's such a great PR boost why are no other boxers doing it ?

David Haye's career is becoming a circus act.
In between knocking over daffodils in the O2 every few months, he has now employed Shannon Briggs to give him some perceived relevance whilst he engages in very low risk contests.

You being old fashioned , David is the first fighter to really tap in to the power of the internet in the build up to the Klitschko fight
Sure this Brigg s scuffle was staged but it draws fans in , deny it if you like but it's true

My contention is that I want to see Haye fight someone who isn't certified dead.
All this baloney with Briggs is just panto & made to look all the more ridiculous while Haye is knocking over waxwork dummies.
By all means, draw the fans in, but fight someone that will hit you back once you have drawn those fans in.
Re: David Haye vs. Arnold Gjergjaj - May 21st 2016
I assume this guy is garbage which is why Haye is fighting him, I hope not though. I'd love to see Haye get knocked out. The most intriguing thing about this card is wondering who they'll match Briggs with on the undercard. They'll have to really scrape the bottom of the barrel to find him somebody he can beat. Dozens of Heavyweights can beat Briggs.
Re: David Haye vs. Arnold Gjergjaj - May 21st 2016
Haye is fighting guys that David price should of picked
Haye is entertaining and working his way to a massive pay day , the scuffle with Briggs is all over the internet

No we're all living very much in the modern day, he's the one cheating and lying to his fans on his way through his comeback. At least in the 1950's there was a bit more integrity in sport. Haye said that he was lining up a top level fighter, not us. He was the one selling tickets before naming an opponent, not us. If he was to say he was slowly working up the level of his opponent, rather than he'd be fighting a world level fight nobody would have said anything about it. I think everyone can appreciate after a 3.5 year hiatus that he'd need time to get back into form, but it's the fact he's the one lifting this veil of him taking on the world's best and making a mint out of it.Starboxer wrote:Haye is fighting guys that David price should of picked

What David Haye is doing is not revolutionary; Muhammad Ali was doing the same thing almost 60 years ago & he was far more interesting, well known & fought better opponents than David Haye has.
Haye does not need to engage in a phony war with a fat, 44 year old has been to drum up interest in his retirement tour.
He just needs to fight someone that is not on life support & dispose of them impressively & the money & title shots will come.
People are not fooled by all this Shannon Briggs claptrap, especially as he is engaging in some horrific contests at the moment.

If anyone can find a waxwork dummy that Briggs can beat, it's them.

That there's a 20% weight difference between a top heavyweight and a top cruiserweight.fizzjambo wrote:What are you on about?asdfjkl wrote:Indeed, but Mayweather would suck as a heavyweight as well.fizzjambo wrote:

That's the difference between a welterweight and a light heavyweight.
That's like a super welterweight against a cruiserweight.
That's like Terence Crawford vs a prime David Haye, or a prime Mayweather vs Sergey Kovalev.
You can't compare that, you can't take it serious, there is a massive leaguedifference between a top cruiserweight and a top heavyweight.
Klitschko told everybody Haye actually never deserved a shot against Klitschko for a reason.
