Re: Who Will Joshua Fight Next?
I'd like to see him fight Johann Duhaupas.
Duhaupas is very tough, and would be incredibly motivated.
Would be Joshua's biggest test to date.

You must be joking. Duha is a bum that cant box. He is durable but poses 0 threat to Joshua, or the same Whyte for example.Cutman Scabbers wrote:I'd like to see him fight Johann Duhaupas.

It could happen though because of his last win.

Out of that list, it's David Haye for me.
I know Haye hasn't done anything to warrant a shot a trinket, but he's talked a good game since embarking on his retirement tour & I want to see him fight someone who isn't certified dead for a change.
It would be an easy sell too.

Stiverne is ranked in the top 15 and could at least be billed as a recent titilist whom Wilder failed to stop.
Re: Who Will Joshua Fight Next?
With Eddie Hearn talking about a stadium fight only Haye -- from that list -- would make sense.
Personally I'd like to see someone durable like Stiverne or Pulev, but are those fights that would sell 50k tickets?

Re: Who Will Joshua Fight Next?
Is July 9th actually set as AJ's next defense? If so I can't see it being Haye, Parker, or Takam given their upcoming bouts, while that turnaround also makes me doubt that the opponent would be the Chisora-Pulev winner, though they'd be more realistic. Regardless of the date I can't see it being Haumono or Briggs, so from that list I'd say Ruiz, Duhaupas, or Teper.
Re: Who Will Joshua Fight Next?
Stiverne is a good call.
Haye is not going to happen, he said it himself he has two fights coming up.

But, if Hearn gave him a call & offered him a shot, would he turn it down?Tarkus wrote:Stiverne is a good call.

It would be huge & so very easy to sell.
Haye could be crazy to turn down a shot a Joshua in order to carry on knocking over daffodils, especially as he has called out Joshua.

Even if it is 9th July, don't rule out Haye.crusader wrote:Is July 9th actually set as AJ's next defense? As we all know, Haye isn't averse to pulling out of fights & I'm quite sure he'd happily pull out of the Arnold Whathisface 'fight' to get a huge fight with an opponent that might actually hit him back.
Re: Who Will Joshua Fight Next?
That is not happening mate. Haye is after Joshua, he will fight him tomorrow. But he understands Joshua will not volunteer to fight him at this moment. Thats why he is taking this Micky Mouse fights. lolSyntax Error wrote:But, if Hearn gave him a call & offered him a shot, would he turn it down?Tarkus wrote:Stiverne is a good call.

Re: Who Will Joshua Fight Next?
Could it be Malik Scott? He seemed keen.
Re: Who Will Joshua Fight Next?
Yep. haye said it will not be him. He probably does not want it so soon anyway. Why not extend your phony ways with your mouth??Tarkus wrote:Stiverne is a good call.

Re: Who Will Joshua Fight Next?
To me Chisora makes the most sense.
Re: Who Will Joshua Fight Next?
Chisora already refused to fight him and now has a Pulev fight in a month time.Lancenix wrote:To me Chisora makes the most sense.

I forgot about that fight is in May sometime you are right. I believe the same day as the Kentucky Derby.Tarkus wrote:Chisora already refused to fight him and now has a Pulev fight in a month time.Lancenix wrote:To me Chisora makes the most sense.

Because he'll be pretty busy that evening defending his title in a rematch with Wlad Klitschko in Manchester.ikorolev wrote:Why isn't Fury in the list ???

Well he's apparently the one man who has KO'd AJ. I'd like to see him in with Haye, think it would be a cracker of a fight.Tarkus wrote:I cracked it. It is David Price. Only that can justify Wembley.
Re: Who Will Joshua Fight Next?
3. Erkan Teper
5. Carlos Takam
6. Joshua Parker
7. Vyacheslav Glazkov
8. Kubrat Pulev
9. Derek Chisora
10. Andy Ruiz
11. Bermane Stiverne
12. Robert Helenius
13. David Haye
14. Dominic Breazeale
15. Jarrell Miller
Takam fights parker soon. Chisora pulev fighting soon. Glazkov injured. Teper getting ban for steroids. So thats everyone from 9up taken. Haye got a fight lined up too.. Stiverne would make sense?,
