Who's Next For Manny?

Post by diddy »

Hopefully a fight that actually has some semblance of meaning. There's a slew of possibilities.

Khan
Thurman
Spence
Crawford
Brook

To name just a few. No chance he retires. Zero.

If someone is saying Spence is better than B level, I can almost 100% say, their last name is Spence

Not saying he's not talented

But A level talent, doesn't mean you're an A level fighter ( see zab Judah )

How about he starts getting some wins over A level, or even B level fighters , and then talking about how great he is.

No one will sign to fight the guy. His team has put out offers to all the top guys. They are ignored.

Yeah exactly. What a concept, nobody in the division will fight you so you should have to jump weight classes until someone does. That is so stupid.

He has skill but still unproven, what does he bring to the table that would interest the big names, he needs to fight his way to a mandatory and then shine

The ranking system is completely corrupt influenced by what money the promoters put in the alphabet soup's pockets.

He's ranked 6 by the WBC, 7 by the WBA, 2 by the IBF and 14 by the WBO

Beat Berto or Peterson and your knocking Garcias door
If Thurman beats Porter he'll drop down andyou just have to beat Mosely or 4 guys i've literally never heard of and Thurman can't run from you for long.
Brook just beat Bizier so he must be the obvious choice for Brooks next mandatory

They can't run for long and i'd be surprised if any of them vacate to avoid Spence.

Name the top guys he's fought that SHOULD EARN him those big fights, what Davie has said above hits the nail right on the head, the jump from the fighters he's fighting now to the elite level your talking about is MASSIVE, let's see how he looks against algieri before jumping the gun, algieri is a large step up from the class he has been fighting

A third fight with Bradley should tell us all something....Arum will keep the money in house. I could have watched for free but wasn't even interested. How many fools paid for it will be interesting to see. That only leaves the winner of Crawford vs Postol, assuming they fight next. Vargas maybe, but doubtful.

We will see where Spence is at vs Algieri. He needs to totally dominate or stop Algieri to get bigger fights than that. He will have a common opponent with Pacquiao and Khan.

I assume Chepppaaa means B level financially rather than skills-wise. I recall him saying Spence was best fighter at welterweight.

Manny SAID he is hanging up the gloves. I imagine he will. Does not really need the money. I think the Bradley fight was a redemption fight for him.

Nothing really left to prove except go out on a high note...
