Pretty easy to predict the outcome of every fight tonight. This is not competitive boxing. They had to big up the Groves fight saying his opponent was unbeaten. Check out the guys record, he fights losers. I liked Connar Benn and I have to admit his opponent did come to fight but he was here to lose. What a pity he isn't the same weight as Ewbank Jnr. Benn v Ewbank with both Dads watching and getting in the ring. That really would be something!!!

Highlighting 'unbeaten' records seems to be the new way of of hyping up terrible choices of opponents for fighters who really ought to be frying bigger fish.
David Haye has tried this line with Arnold Gjergjaj (or whatever his name is), his latest waxwork dummy opponent!
On that basis, Haye could have fought Andrew Flintoff!
I hate to defend Eddie Hearn/Matchroom/Sky Box Office but the fraud was the IBF taking the belt off Fury because they wanted him to fight Glazkov (WHO?) rather than Wlad (THEIR CHAMPION OF THE PREVIOUS 9 YEARS WHO JUST LOST A COMPETITIVE DECISION DEFENDING IT).
It's not Charles Martin's fault Glazkov's knee blew out, that he can't really fight, and that he was never going to turn down a 7.5 million dollar payday to get outclassed by AJ having been paid 250k for his previous outing.
It would still have been a decent show if they had prioritised Selby-Hunter and Macklin-Rose i.e. proper fights, over the Groves, McDonnell and Benn Jr nonsense. I mean why, oh, why pay Groves, what £200k for that when you could be paying a decent opponent for McDonnell? Even ultra-casuals can see that Groves-Brophy is a waste of time.
Hearn, Matchroom, Sky, Joshua, Martin etc just capilalised on it.
You can't really blame them but you can still have a right good moan about how much it stinks.

I had said round two or three so in a way I was right but it isn't how I saw the fight going so I'm also wrong lol. I thought it would be a cagey opener ala Haye Harrison. Martin is awful but he's won a watch here because he is a very rich man off the back of this failure!

Martin was a disgrace to boxing, worst heavyweight 'champion' ever Frank Bruno's second crack at Mike Tyson is now forgotten. Still not sure how good AJ is but he is heavyweight champion of the world, for what its worth. Bring on David Haye.
