Nice clash of styles with Alvaro being the mover with more reach... so constantly looking to keep a good distance with Cristian the stalker grinder... Things started relatively smooth with Alvaro moving a lot and countering from distance.
In round 4 Alvaro started to move less and compensated with adding pop on his counters. Cristian kept adding the stalking pressure, eventually got timed after making some good offenses... and Cristian went down.
As the fight progressed Alvaro started to lose his pop and his counters became more and more desperate under massive pressure. Cristian had him where he wanted in the 9th and dropped him with body shots.
Alvaro started the 10th looking to circle and jab for the full round but didn't work. Cristian cut the ring well and was able to punish Alvaro to the body and then the head. Alvaro tried a few tricks including spitting the mouthpiece to gain time and recuperate.
