If Fury beat Wlad again, would Price be a sellable defense?
If Fury beat Wlad again, would Price be a sellable defense?
Given the history between these two and with Fury being seen a couple of years back as avoiding Price for the British, do you think this could be made into a sellable grudge match if Fury were to beat Wlad and Price get a couple of British level wins in?
I actually think it would make for an intriguing fight given the height of Price and the fact that Tyson is not really a concussive hitter. If Price was willing to let his hands go he could cause Fury a few problems.
Fury would probably be laughed out of town if he got involved in such a fight but I think he would be a lot more competitive than AJ-Price or even Haye-Price would be?

Who would pay to see a 1 round KO? It would be terrible fight and would attract more attention on boxrec for many a month. Price is not worthy of any shot other than an area title at best.
I have nkthing against Price personally but the likes of Charles Martin would knock him out.

Yes, of course it would be.
Re: If Fury beat Wlad again, would Price be a sellable defense?
I think that Hughie Fury is very poor, but I would back him to beat Price any day of the week.
Re: If Fury beat Wlad again, would Price be a sellable defense?
Fury won't fight Price in his defence should he win again. However if he did I would fancy having some serious cash on the upset as I think price could win and at great odds! Be well worth a bet. That said, it aint happening for now. David is rebuilding.

Big chocolate whiskers needs a big win or three before even being mentioned in the same breath as the Gypsy King

Before the Price impolsions...not a problem, it sells fast and fills a more than decent sized venue.
But right now you'd probably need a shared headline fight alongside it based on people not being daft and knowing Price's vulnerabilties.
Seems like a great deal of effort for Big Mick to have a construct a bill based on the strong premise that the challenger might not being around for more than a round or so and needing to offer folk another big fight.
But then again, the Fury's really do know how to sell and have always do their own thing. So perhaps a quick payday with Price with Tyson stirring things right up to get people interested is not so outlandish?
And afterall, plenty of folk turned-up to watch Haye-Harrison!

Only in Liverpool

Wish Price all the best in his career, seems like a really nice lad, but no.
Did well as an amateur, hope he strings together a few good wins and gets a big cash out fight, but that's probably all it will be.

Why would you choose perhaps the hardest puncher in the division as a voluntary, Lennox made that mistake back in 2001.
Re: If Fury beat Wlad again, would Price be a sellable defense?
No, not now. Price needs to rebuild his confidence, then he needs to win some more credible fights, if he manages that
I hope he does, I like Price, not sure he will though.
Edit: That said I think there rivalry is pretty dead now anyway.

The funny thing is if Fury was a Matchroom fighter, actually I think Camp Eddie going hype-factor 12 would manage to find a way to package it, as long as price got a very vaguely creditable comeback win to halfway merit the fight with Fury. CE would sell the shit out of it and enough would buy.
I don't think the Hennessey PR, umm, well calling it a machine would be overcooking wouldn't it, I'm pretty sure they couldn't sell that turkey

Re: If Fury beat Wlad again, would Price be a sellable defense?
Not a chance. If Price hadn't fought Tepper and was unbeaten in a handful of fights, even if against C quality fighters, then they could probably do it. However, he was knocked sparko in his last fight, so there isn't a hope in hell.
Re: If Fury beat Wlad again, would Price be a sellable defense?
I'm not sure Fury KO's Price quickly. He's not a big puncher and I think he'd be wary of Price's power early on. I think this would sell if Price could get in a couple of quick wins in spectacular fashion. It'd be a very big fight in the North West.
