There was something seriously amiss in Fenech - Nelson, first fight. Everyone in the crowd and the pub where I watched it just couldn't believe the decision. And there was DK smiling :x

Lewis/Holy 1 - Either the fix was in or the judge who had it for Holy by 2 was smoking heavy CRACK.

Clay/Cooper - Maybe not FIX but def. cheating.

Ottke/Reid - ridiculous, good job for boxing it wasn't a high profile, Vegas style fightnight...

Ali/Liston II - As bad as Sonny looked rolling round on the floor he did actually get up and try to carry on fighting, before JJW eventually stopped it?? Still maybe he thought he'd blew that chance to throw it and would just wait till he got hit again and go down then...

DLH/Sturm?? - haven't seen it, heard it was pretty bad though.

Don't know about FIX but recently I thought Mayorga/Forrest II, DLH/Mosley II, Woods/Johnson I, Rahman/Tua II, Jones/Tarver I, and others I can't remember were all pretty sloppy decisions.

Holyfield VS Lewis 1 - unbelievable, Lewis must have felt sick.

Ottke VS Reid - I watched this with nothing but anger, I wanted to batter the ref! "Ah, Reid moved his feet, deduct a point please judges." :x

I am almost 100% convinced that Ali-Liston II was a fix and even more convinced after reading an autobiography on Liston i brought recently. With all that mob involvement how could it not be? Liston was a beast of a man, nobody had hardly even dented him and then Ali landed a punch that didn't even land and Liston goes down, forget the Walcott shenanigans this fight was rigged and Liston was every bit involved IMO.

I have heard people suggesting that Foreman vs Morrison was fixed, well I got a letter from boxing monthly when I asked them about not having Morrison in the top ten (this was after just prior to the Ruddock fight).

The letter implied that something was fishy about Foreman vs Morrison - anyone know why.

The most obvious one in recent years

Emmanuel Augustus V Allan Vester

Augustus tough as old boots....only been stopped by Floyd Mayweather and Jesus Chavez....even Pretty boy didnt stop his as in counting him out

Vester cannot crack an egg (at the time of the fight he was 10 and 0 with only one stoppage)

Burton went down as if he had been shot with a sawn off with 10 seconds to go in the fight thus getting counted out...

As soon as the count is done, he is fine again

Big George was way behind on the scorecards, but didn't try to attack at all in the latter rounds. Afterwards he said his corner was telling him he was way ahead, and to avoid getting KO'ed.

Lewis v Holyfield definately. Wasn't the female judge who had Holyfield winning investigated by the FBI? Didn't she have something like £100,000 go into her bank account that she couldn't account for? I may be wrong with the amount. Also didn't they look at her scoring of certain rounds and rounds that Lewis clearly won she had Holyfield winning. She claimed she had her view obscurred so she gave it to Holyfield because he seemed to have won the round???? Also the British judge Larry O Connell said after he had Lewis well ahead but then flt gutted when he added up the scores and had a draw?? Whats that all about? Surely you know has you go along who's winning?

I think Eubank had a few dodgey ones in his career.

Ottke - well most of his were weren't they? I can't believe more is not made of the Reid debactle. That was absolutely disgraceful. How about when Ottke was knocked down and the ref said it was a slip?

As regards Ali/Liston. In the first fight Liston's face showed he had taken a fair share of punches and I think he had just had enough. Although seeing what a beast he was makes it seem unlikely that he retired of his own will? I don't know. Maybe he took Ali lightly and didn't train has hard has he should. Remember Ali was a big underdog. As for the 2nd fight. He was involved with the mob supposely. I just can't accept that a beast like liston was KOed by that punch from Ali.

On a seperate note I watched a documentary about Liston and on it they were saying that the American public hated Ali so much at the time of the fight that as Liston walked into the ring people were shouting......"Liston beat up that person...teach that person a lesson...". Ignorance is a funny thing!

It was the fifth round I think, Lewis was teeing off on Holyfield the whole round and hurt him against the ropes and she gave Holyfield the round.

that's a myth. sure, the Reid and Larsen fights near the end of his career didn't seem right. but very often he outboxed top fighters like Byron Mitchell and Charles Brewer - they didn't do enough then they have the gall to bitch and moan afterward. both of those men did good work but admired their work while Ottke kept pecking away. out of his 20 whatever title defenses, my guess is a small fraction of them were dodgy

for a suspicious fight, how about Nate Miller vs Thomas Hearns, in I think Manchester. I mean why would Miller let the much older man with all that mileage and vulnerability, outwork him? at that point Hearns wasn't even world class, yet Nate was so lethargic it was unbelievable. the suspcious thing is, he never once tried to win against a man who was there to be taken.

julio cesar chavez jr-tomas molina on margarito-gomez PPV fiasco!!!

it is in vegas where arum does lots of business & has major influence...most of the "fixes" in vegas are not the proverbial money to a judge under the table but rather business-based fixes where judges tend to vote for the guy who can bring the most future big fights back to the area...a decision victory here for molina would be a major coup for the sport & proof that there are still honest judges in boxing. i've always said big upsets keep the sport honest!! but dont be surprised if molina needs to dominate or KO junior to get the win!!

I haven't seen it but I have heard that Holmes' loss to Brian Neilson was dodgy to say the least.

Foreman vs Schultz

I also have to say that the scorecards of Eubank vs Benn II were dodgy. I think two judges gave the last two rounds to Benn, when it looked like Eubank won them.

I know most people (I didn't) thought that Benn won the bout, but the scoring was odd in the latter rounds.

Given the fact that both had famously signed with DK should they WIN or LOSE - quite odd then it was a draw, even Barry Hearn predicted it was going to be a draw just after the final bell.

Stu I thought Benn had a pinted deducted in the 11th or 12th for a low blow? If thats the case did they still give it to Benn? If I remember I thought Benn won the last few rounds but I may be wrong.

Benn was deducted earlier on. Had the judges scored the last two rounds as Barry McGuigan and Jim Watt did (to Eubank) then he would have won a clear unaminous decision. I'll have a look at the show ITV did that showed the individual scorecard - but I think the judge who scored it for Eubank was the only one to have BENN ahead at the start of the 11th. The only who scored it for Benn and a draw had Eubank in the lead at that point.

The 12th was a difficult one to score, cause Eubank slipped and Benn took advantages for about 20 seconds - and it looked good, but the rest of the round Eubank was "looking the boss" (quote from Watt). Take away that 20 second attack then it was a clear Eubank round.

The 11th was a definate Eubank round.

I actually scored the fight a draw but with the point deduction made Eubank a 1 point winner.
