There are four (three too many) main sanctioning bodies. Everything else is junior varsity.

Well there's also The Ring, which is probably even greater, IBO is somewhat legit too, just not to the levels of the others. I think the other sanctioning bodies should focus on nonworld titles, like you could have age ones, and they should also try and set up more prizefighter type tournaments. Just me though.

If it was only one belt/title - it's was only one-two Championship Fight a year in each division.

Today the boxing politicians can arrange 10 "Championship Fights" a year in each division (and those are also way too many). So 10beltsX20weights = 200 "Championship Fights". Easy promotions and much more money than 2fightsX8weights=16 Championship Fights, as it was in the 30-s :doh:

And most of people do not care....
