Marcus Browne vs Radivoje Kalajdzic

Post by DrunkenBoxer »

Marcus Browne got a home cooked gift win. Browne also got a BS knock down. Kalajdzic won that fight.

Yeah, Browne didn't win that fight. He got beat up, knocked down, out landed, out thrown, and was hurt more often. Not sure how he won the fight actually.

That's boxing!

Highway robbery. I knew they'd give Lucas Browne the decision. K was robbed by the phony referee and two phony judges. K slipped in rd 1 and Browne hit him when he was down. Not only did the ref call the slip a knockdown even tho it was clearly a slip and no punch had landed, but then even worse he ignored Browne punching him when he was down! Browne should have been deducted a point in rd. 1 but instead of making it at least a 10-9 K round they gave the round 10-8 to Browne. Also points should have been deducted from Browne for excessive holding all night long but weren't. Even the shill announcers noticed this though they only politely commented. Boxing in the USSA makes boxing in Grozny, Chechnya look honest by comparison.

Browne says next thing he has to do is talk to Al Haymon.

No doubt to thank him for buying him his 18th win.

That was the worst officiating I've seen in a while.

Ref called a slip a KD for Browne
Ref never deducted a point from Browne for hitting him when he was down
Ref permitted Browne excessive holding
Ref never deducted a point from Browne for his deliberate head butt that cut Kalajdzic
Ref called a legit KD Kalajdzic a slip
Ref kept giving Browne extra time when he was hurt

Judges robbed Kalajdzic.

I forgot about those two especially the so called ref ignoring K's KD of Browne. Outrageous.

It was horrific refereeing. Terrible stuff.

The thing that sucks about boxing is the same thing that sucks about politics; none of the players ever get their comeuppance. They get paid and keep working. :brick:

The only honest announcer that I can recall speaking out about this in your face boxing corruption was George Foreman.

Very disappointing result. Kalajdzic deserved the win and it was taken from him.

But we learned something very important from this fight: Marcus Browne is half octopus. He must be. Have you ever seen a fighter hold that much?

K's people really need to appeal this rotten decision because the round one stuff was so obvious and not even debatable, and that alone, even overlooking everything else, would make him the winner.

Well it's safe to say Browne ain't beating Kovalev or ward or any top 10 dude anytime soon. At least not legitimate.

Marcus Brown lost that fight, a total hometown gift decision. He exposed himself as nothing special. Feel bad for Radivoje Kalajdzic.

This is what I talk about all the time with these homecooked US decision that never get their proper credit. It is too bad that this hard working Bosnian was ripped off by Haymon and his crooked judges.

K lives in Florida. Has been fighting in states for years. BS decision but it wasn't like an outsider going to the UK and getting boned.

He is still a Bosnian and not from the US and was in Browne's hometown.

I thought, as I said, they would mug him with a draw. To mug him with a loss was just not right.

You nailed it here. The ref in this fight had me yelling at the TV in this fight. That guy, whomever he is, should lose his license to ref.

What bothered me more than the phantom knockdown that cost the kid this fight was the excessive holding that you are referring to.

Marcus Browne is nothing special,

Browne is not that unique. He lost that fight imo. The ref messed up big time but fight was kinda close

I think the ref knew that point was going to be important so he held out from taking that point.
