Boxer who beat Parker in Amateur Debuts

Post by bennyaha1 »

Uaine Fa Jr also known as Junior Fa, made his debut last night, defeating Richard Tutaki.
Fa jr is well known for beating Joseph PArker back in the days when they both were amateurs
sadly we couldnt see much of Fa jr because he KO'ed his opponent within the first min of the first round with combinations of the body shots

http://boxrec.com/boxer/742693

Fa jr fought Richard Tutaki

Tutaki also fought Parker back in 2012. However Parker knocked him out in the 3rd round not the 1st

Fa jr is confident that he can beat Parker again if he had the chance

Im sure you know boxing well enough to understand the suttleties of amateur and professional boxing.

Henry Tillman, who is that you say? Well he beat Mike Tyson in the amateurs. Many that dont understand boxing built Tillman up to be the man to beat an undefeated Tyson based on guess what?? Their amateur clash. Youtube to find out what happen to Tillman.

Fa has just started out in the pro ranks. Tutaki is hardly a victory for him to be taken as even a prospect at this stage. Its a great start but it was expected of Fa given he had Tutaki. He needs to knock on the door a bit harder by knocking out decent boxers obviously.

He could have a good climb just here in Australasia. Theres De Mori, Ahio, Leapai, Browne and then of course Parker but hes got some climbing to do as outside of NZ nobody knows him. Promoting him as the guy that beat Parker in the amateurs is poor given that Parker is still trying to establish himself as a real contender to the worlds boxing fans.

Good luck to him but Tutaki is hardly a great scalp and had(and probably still has)many issues outside the ring.

Junior Fa will be fighting two weekend in a row

Next weekend April 2nd in TSB Stadium, New Plymouth he fights Clint Foai who is W: 0 L: 5

The weekend after April 16th in The Trust Arena, Auckland he fights Jayson Aloese who is W: 1 L: 0 D: 1
I heard Aloese is undefeated as a Corporate boxers and very experience in the Corporate division

Question marks over Fa's chin especially as he steps uo in competition.

Foai gets stopped in 1 as does Aloese whos about to find out professional and amateur boxing are a considerable step up from corporate boxing.

I'll be interested to watch Junior Fa's progress. I have a suspicion these two upcoming fights won't present too many challenges to him.

I think there's a question mark over Parkers chin as he steps up in competition as well (probably goes for most heavys)

yea I matched the fight for junior fa for April 16th
difficult with 3 weeks notice against someone like Junior Fa

April 2nd opponent was the original opponent for April 16th and I said aaaa no dont take the piss
then they said they never wanted that opponent so I found someone better

I offered 20 people the fight 90% of them from NZ

about 5 of the boxers said they would be interested if they had more time

After actually seeing the fight, Fa won quite comfortably. Aloese didn't look too bad either with good head movement and a strong jaw especially for a 19 year old but a good hit out for Fa and good to see him getting the rounds in.

Did a little dance there at 13:30, but aside from that it was all Fa.

If Aloese really is 6'3" like his BoxRec page suggests then Fa must be close to 6'10".
