Hometown cooking at it's worst. Yesterday was a perfect example of why boxing should have instant replay for knockdowns. They could have taken 30 seconds to review the knockdown and decided that it wasn't legit. Kalajdzic punished Marcus Browne and turned him into an octopus. I laughed when Brown in his post fight interview said the decision should have been a UD for him. Talk about delusional. He got his ass handed to him yesterday.

Why don't K's team protest this crooked decision? Even disregarding everything else the video replay of the referees malfeasance in round one would swing the fight in his favor, and that video is not even debatable. It is not like it was a subtle bad call or anything. It is all too totally obvious. Like George Foreman - the only honest announcer - once said - after Oquendo was blatantly robbed vs. Byrd - boxers have to stop standing there and meekly accepting this sort of thing.

Why do they even need to protest ? Whatever authority sanctioned this fight should do it without any protests.

That was one of the worst knockdown judgement call by a ref that I probably ever seen in Boxing. The man tripped and it was called a knockdown. Don't recall a punch even landing.

That was disgusting last night K fought his heart out until the final bell but got screwed by the ref and judges, the US is just as bad as any country in the world.

I cant wait for Browne to fight a fringe world level guy so we can all make some money.

The guy who 'lost' would make a great fight with fonfara. I'm not nearly as high on Browne as I was, not ready to call him a bum. His next fight should be Dawson.

I don't think Browne is bad. I think he had trouble with K's combo of length and power. Browne needed to enter into the danger zone just to land his own shots. And was getting clipped for his troubles. Hard. Guys who have long arms like K don't usually have that type of snap on their punches. He's an intriguing guy but needs a better trainer. With his length he needs to be jabbing more. A lot more.

I think the ref knew that point was going to be important so he held out from taking that point.
It would have made up for the incompetent knockdown call though.

OK, I found this:

"Kalajdzic’s promoter Lou DiBella said he plans to file a protest with the New York State Athletic Commission..."

Don't just plan to do it, do it!

I don't blame DiBella.

No way his kid lost that fight.

It was a travesty.

Radivoje Kalajdzic was robbed hard in that fight. Browne is their golden child, he wins at any cost. Shameful day for boxing.

"Plans to". I bet that will be the last we ever hear of it.

Ref was awful. Knockdown in round 1 was a bad call but maybe give him the benefit of the doubt for missing the blatant slip.

The holding was awful though. He gave him about 10 warnings and didn't take a point off???

I had Browne losing by 2 points.

I'd love to see Browne-Dawson next. It's suddenly became a 50/50 fight overnight.

Great thing about PBC cards is you always know beforehand who is going to win.
