Selby would smash Warrington, it would be a one-sided mauling imo.

Selby vs Warrington is a fight that should happen next.

Selby would be a significant favourite, but Selby really isn't anything special and I think some posters should try to jump off his todger, if possible.

I agree. I don't think Selby is anything special either. However, I'm pretty sure he'll beat Warrington.

To be fair I don't think most people are saying Selby is a world beater, more so Warrington being euro level at a push. The only reason he is getting talked of is because he shifts tickets, if he didn't then I'm pretty sure know one outside of Leeds would of heard of him. Harsh but true

Finished up with 117-112 Guerrero, maybe a bit wide but I favoured him in most of the close rounds, outworked Hall in most of them.
Strange that the three judges in different positions around the ring one of which doesn't like Hall all gave it to hall UD

Autobarn wrote:Thanks for clarifying about Amagasa and his weight.

However he'd only competed to my knowledge at a good level at 122 - where he faced Rigondeaux in that very good fight and also in another good battle, Ryol Li Lee in that revenge win.

I think Warrington is a solid and strong boxer and will have a good fight with Selby, who is often open and off balance.
He's only fought once at world level, against Rigo, that was his ONLY bout at 122lbs. He has been the OPBF and Japanese champion at 126lbs, with bouts against Lee (as you mentioned), Takenaka (current OPBF champion-who was incidentally out boxing Amagasa until being stopped in round 12), Watanabe (VERY tough SOB- if you've never see Watnabe Vs Jaesung Lee I SERIOUSLY reccomend it, absolute blood bath).

With your absurd scorecard you have shown yourself to be a traitor to this great nation.

The punishment for this treachery is, perhaps, death.

But there were two very very good fights tonight, I must admit I expected both visitors to win but I don't mind being wrong from time to time.

As good as tonights fights were I didn't see anything from Hall or Warrington that would trouble Haskins or Selby respectively, but they have earned their shots after tonight
Getting in the ring with hall troubles the one that didn't win a title, yes the one that even his own fans that were there on the night thought haskins lost against hall.

This shite again. You are the only person I've seen that has even tried to claim Hall won that fight. Al Bernstein had it 117-111, case closed.

Autobarn wrote:Glad I was there for a genuine battle featuring exciting changes of momentum. Wanted to get a friend of mine into boxing, show him some value for money - in the wake of the easy recent wins by AJ and Kell Brook.

Was surprised at the scoring because Amagasa bossed the middle rounds, won the last - and the first few were nip and tuck.

Warrington won rounds 9-11 pretty big - really jolted Amagasa at times - but couldn't follow through.

Warrington - and Hall - were nothing really special as they faced world class opponents moving up in weight, coming to their country - and it was slightly disappointing to see both apparently, concede the final round of their fights.

If we can forget about the scoring, that was a proper fight. It was no Brodie-Chi 1 but it was a fine fight. Probably a great learning experience for Warrington who threw some beautiful punches but needed more volume and variety.

Let's not forget Selby made some mistakes in his recent fight. Think they can get together and have a good 'un.
Guerrero wasn't moving up a weight his ranking was at super bantam and above hall in the world rankings.

Criticised by who, where were they and you sat in the Arena, the punches that land on arms, gloves and around the back do not score hall's landed on target.

His workrate was good but he landed fornicate all. Hall's shots were much more effective. Look at Hall's boat afterwards. Not a mark on it. 117-112 Guerrero my arse.

Eff all?

That's a bit strong. Hall was more effective, but I saw Guerrero land a decent number of shots and thought he won 5 rounds. Sometimes faces don't tell the whole story, especially when one fighter is focused on the body.

Better to throw shots that are partially blocked than to not throw at all. Like I said, it probably is a bit wide and doesn't really reflect the pattern of the fight overall but that can happen scoring round by round and I struggle with the idea of giving Stuart Hall rounds based on clean punches when he doesn't carry any real power and wasn't landing that many clean.
