The addiction that could've hurt Joshua's career
The addiction that could've hurt Joshua's career
This is the headline I have just seen on a news site.
When I opened up the story it explains that Anthony Joshua was addicted to playing Fifa 16 on his Playstation and said "I used to play Fifa until it affected my boxing. I had to stop playing [Fifa 16] because it affected my sleep and recovery".
So there you go folks - he is not a big, scary, powerful black man who is a convicted drug dealer and now earns his money by punching people - he is just a humble lad next door who sits at home playing games on his Playstation.

Isn't that what most drug dealers do?

Anthony is more humble than Mother Theresa and Mohatma Gandhi's love child if you believe the Hearn PR

Is there anything more humble than a guy asking you to love and get behind him because he is so humble???
As for the addiction, i know how he feels, i was heading for a career in politics until "Pro Evolution international superstar soccer deluxe" came out in 97....i had the world at my feet...and a controller in my hand. Screw you Konami.

Always wondered if his convictions would stop him getting a USA visa ?bripez wrote:This is the headline I have just seen on a news site.

It's highly unlikely he'll ever "have" to go and fight over there. Hopefully he does though. Big fight in Vegas or MSG is on every fighters bucket list.tony1234 wrote:Always wondered if his convictions would stop him getting a USA visa ?bripez wrote:This is the headline I have just seen on a news site.

Don't forget that David James could have become the greatest England goalkeeper ever, if only he hadn't got addicted to Tomb Raider. Those '90s game developers have a lot to answer for!95gerog wrote:Is there anything more humble than a guy asking you to love and get behind him because he is so humble???

I imagine a lot of drug dealers like a blast on the playstation. I can't see them doing Open University courses with that spare 40 hours that they don't have to be on the clock.bripez wrote:This is the headline I have just seen on a news site.

This is some of the most transparent PR rubbish I've seen. "You see folks he's just like you, and also he's super dedicated and gives up anything that detrimentally effects his boxing. Also play FIFA 16".

Luckily I wash it down with a nice bottle of Nero d'avola so sleep isn't an issue.95gerog wrote:That'll definitely cost you some sleep and a potential promotion. Go easy TaansendTaansend wrote:I'm addicted to really strong cheddar

Knowing how crude and predictable Eddie Hearn's camp PR machine is I'm surprised Joshua didn't claim that being addicted to playing tiddlywinks with his nieces and nephews almost ruined him...,

I've played FIFA 16 with Joshua, he's pretty good at it. Think it's like everything else addictive in life, you have to set out firm boundaries or else it can impact on other areas.

Can you confirm or deny reports that Joshua is the most humble, down to earth, normal person in the world? Or is he even humbler?HellraiserBoxing wrote:I've played FIFA 16 with Joshua, he's pretty good at it.
