Simple question really, IF Amir Khan ends up beating Saul Alvarez on May 7th. What will you constant naysayers of his career say? Ahh, but he wont fight Brook, Canelo was too slow, still got no chin. Its inevitable, so vote up.

What is this garbage!?

Khan will get demolished by Canelo inside 3 rounds. If he even hears a final then he deserves a huge amount of respect, he will have lost without getting hurt at a weight higher than he should be at, and won't devalue his stock too much, that he can still command the A-side vs Brook or maybe even tempt Pacquiao in the ring.

But realistically, he'll get beaten down pretty badly, i think he'll look for a way out when he feels Canelo's power.

Exactly that, the question is, what IF he somehow pulls off a victory, I know you will give him respect but majority of the British Casual Fan allegiance will still have something to say and that's a fact.

Tbh i think you have a chip on your shoulder. Are you getting at the race card here, that Khan doesn't get a fair shake due to being a Pakistani muslim?

He is chinny. He has cherry picked since losing to Garcia. He was garbage vs Algieri. The criticism is wee deserved regardless of race. If he beats Canelo it's result of the year and then he goes straight into p4p contention, regardless of race.

Anyone that claims Khan is ducking or indeed 'scared' of Brook need look no further than this fight. Yes afraid of Brook but not the monster that is Canelo and here lays the logic of the casual fan.

Khan gets knocked out by either. He just sold his chin to the highest bidder.

There is no way Khan beats Canelo in Vegas. He would have to stop Alvarez for that, and that is not gonna happen.

I'll be a shocked as the next man if he pulls it off. In terms of what he's achieved I think he has done well to get as far as he has, he's overachieved. His ring IQ has never been great, he is quick but with no real power so that can only get you so far. If he had a Floyd defence then maybe he'd get away with more but he really doesn't.

He gets respect from me just for taking the fight.

His stock goes up incredibly if he wins, lasts the distance or makes the fight competitive.

Personally I see Canelo being to big and strong and forcing a middle round stoppage.

Only possible way Canelo loses is boiling his body down to 155 which at this point is prob extremely unhealthy for his body.

Good point.. the kid has been a massive weight drainer and youth can only negate those after effects so long. If he is weak from that we'll know right away once that chin gets touched.

I am wondering if he would be able to comfortably make 147 anymore after adding muscle for this fight.

If Khan skips a weight class and becomes middleweight champion we shut the fuck up and give this man an applause.

Brook needs a big name next and it's unlikely that they will travel to the UK, I feel he will have to the States this summer! As for him and Khan I just hope it happens but the egos aside *cough* Hearn *cough* Khan

If Khan manages to beat Canelo then he'll deserve enormous respect. I'm no fan of the guy anymore but have to give credit where it's due. Can't see it happening though.

I think he may struggle and it looks as though he likes his food in between fights too. Did you see his belly?

If he does go back down and get knocked out, he can say it's just the RJJ syndrome, nothing to do with his chin ;-)

The Brook/Khan saga is becoming another one of those tedious will they/won't they fight sagas that just enrages folk to the point where we stop caring if they ever fight.

I just want to see Brook fight someone who isn't on life support & I don't care if it is Amir Khan or not.

I agree, I can't see any of the big names coming over to the UK so he's going to have to travel again! After Errol Spence Jr's empathic win at the weekend he'd have a real challenge on his hands with him. Hearn mentioning that Cotto doesn't want to fight Brook is ridiculous also after the names he's been in with, Hearn is the root cause of evil in UK boxing.

If Khan beats Canelo (and that's a big "IF") then he deserves props and there should be no excuse for him not facing Brook especially if he drops back to WW.

I think Khan may be overestimating his chances vs Canelo and people have Amir believing he's this superfast fighter that cannot be hit; he has a glass jaw and all it takes is for Canelo to corner him and find it and this fight could be over very quickly.

Khan was running from a light punching Algieiri, I'm sure Canelo hits harder than CA so imagine how much running we will see Amir doing in this fight.

Canelo will be coming for him.

Smart fight for Khan to take vs taking the Brook fight. If he loses to Canelo he has lots to blame it on, and no one really expects him to win anyway. If he lost to Brook, he's not even the best in the UK, so forget the rest of the world...his career is over.

Khan says it was killing him to make 147, but the next week he says he will drop back to 147 no problem. You cannot believe anything that comes out of his mouth. He said in one interview he tried to get Canelo to go lower than 155. In the next interview he said he wanted 155 so Canelo wouldn't be weight drained. Khan says he is just as fast at this weight, his strength has tripled, and his chin is much, much stronger. :o

I can't stand either guy, and would laugh for days and days if Khan beat Canelo.

Khan won't beat Alvarez. You make yourself look like a fool by speculating that it's even possible.

I also think so, but Alvarez is only 1/4 favorite with Khan being 5/2 underdog. Bookies seem to be not so sure.

I like to see the results so far aim to finally give Khan some credit for a victory over Canelo but I just don't believe it. It's one of the reasons why I'm surprised that Canelo would even consider this fight. He's really in a no win situation with this one. If he beats Khan, everyone will point to Khan's glass jaw and so what, you beat Khan. So did a few other people. But if Canelo loses or looks as slow a sluggish as he did against Lara, Canelo's stock will plummet overnight.

I've always enjoyed watching Khan fight and i think he deserves way ore credit than he gets as a talent. I am with the minority in thinking that this fight is going to be a classic and one to remember for a long time.

Thank you. The voice of reason on this topic.
I give Khan zero to no chance of winning this fight.
It would be a moral victory to hear the bell in the 12th round
And even that seems like an impossible feat
