Due to Anthony Joshua winning the IBF Heavyweight Championship, the Championship has been declared vacant. The Championship will be considered at the next meeting.

Why wait until the next meeting?

Pretty much any combo of Haye, Chisora, Price, H. Fury, Whyte or McDermott would do for the vacant title.

Put them all in eliminators and see who pulls out.

The above eliminator contest to be promoted by Eddie Hearn, will take place on Saturday, 28th May 2016 at the SSE Hydro, Glasgow. The winner to box Matthew Askin in a final eliminator contest.

McKenzie hasn't defended in over a year and the BBBofC are setting up tournaments to fight him.

He won't have defended for about two years after they've sorted his next mandatory challenger out.

The rest I don't mind but Hooper getting made mandatory without winning an eliminator or doing anything to deserve it is a joke. They could have put Campbell, Coyle or Dodd in there or asked Derry Mathews if he wanted a shot. Instead they give it to Hooper who's lost to Sykes and Kays and been stopped by Walsh, but it's alright because he's managed a couple of wins for the English title. Hearn has more or less been allowed to choose the mandatory because he did a deal with Carl Greaves for Hooper to vacate so Ohara Davies could fight for the English title.

Got to slightly disagree mate, Hoopers a decent fighter who has improved of late, agree that there are others in front of him (Campbell, Coyle etc) but did they want the British title? He was English champ, defended against Dingsdale who's no mug, whilst I'd agree that he's not the strongest ever challenger it's certainly not a 'joke'.

I don't have a problem with him fighting for the title, but him being mandatory is a joke. He's lost at and below British title level in the past and hasn't won an eliminator, winning a couple of fights at area/English level doesn't mean he should even be considered to be mandatory.

Maybe Derry and Campbell wouldn't want it, but Sean Dodd definitely does and I'm sure Tommy Coyle would be well up for a British title fight too, not like he's got many other options.

As expe says - you don't have to win, you just have to successfully defend 3 times. So it's his for keeps next time out if he avoids defeat.

I can't believe Scott has managed to defend all those times without fighting Luke Campbell , Tom Stalker or Tommy Coyle, all who I think beat him. Scott and his dad were at table next to me at St Andrews sporting with the Lonsdale belt being loud and brash right after first Dodd fight. Not my cup of tea as a fighter. Always comments on people's levels. How he's at the stage he's got to is nothing short of a miracle. Respect for getting into a ring but he's had all Cooshty defences that at the beginning he's about 10/1 fav to win
