Brook vs Spence
If the fight happened next who do you think would win????
Re: Brook vs Spence
Close one, depends where it was. I'd go Brook late stoppage or points
Re: Brook vs Spence
Right now, probably Brook points. Wouldn't put a penny on it though, Spence looks a hell of a fighter.
Re: Brook vs Spence
Not seen Spence take a solid shot yet. He pretty much done what he wanted against Algieri last night and obviously couldn't fight the same way against Brook. Kells solid, accurate jab would give him plenty to ponder. Looks a solid enough guy though. 50/50 fight just now. As I said in an other thread, If Brooks going to face Spence it should be asap because he's only going to get better.

Is it just me, or does every one of these highlights include Spence holding and hitting & pulling Algieri's head down before throwing punches?

Re: Brook vs Spence
Type of fight Brook needs after 3 poor defences in the hottest division in boxing
Gotta say, Spence looks good. Add him and maybe Crawford to an already hot Welterweight melting pot.

Where's the f*cking poll
Where's the f*cking Angry Face Emoji
I HATE this thread
Anyway, I'd love to see this fight & have no idea who would win but I also said the same about Joshua Martin
I tend to think the best of a fighter until a conclusive loss....

Re: Brook vs Spence
No idea who would win. Weird though maybe we as people are more patriotic than we think. There is a similar thread in CS where Spence is heavily favoured in this matchup. Yet on this Brook fancied. Great fight though as we potentially havent seen the best of either of them.
Re: Brook vs Spence
spence is some fighter
tough fight for both men this
i'd go brook points though or late stoppage but its hard to say really

Re: Brook vs Spence
Should fight him now before he gets more experience. Go over there and give him a slap, make the Americans sit up and take notice. This is one mandatory NOBODY will complain about
Think Brook wins with something to spare.

Re: Brook vs Spence
To be fair I think brook would slow him down and get to fight at his speed like he did with Porter. This guy just looks like another Porter IMO.
Brook is too clever for him and wins on points clearly. Calazaghe vs Lacey style of fight it would be....

Re: Brook vs Spence
Spence is not mandatory. He has to fight a final eliminator v Pomanarev (spl?) apparently.

That's not really an issue to be fair.
Having just faced his mandatory, Brook would have had at least one voluntary anyway.
Even if Spence was mandatory right now, he could probably be made to wait for almost a year and one or two Brook defences before he could insist on a shot and even then Brook can pull the unification card or move up to LMW for bigger challenges (chasing the Khan payday)
At which point Spence faces Jeff Horn for the vacant title (which is basically what happens 11 months from now after he's dealt with Konstantin Ponomarev)

And I will quote this when this premonition comes to pass
Re: Brook vs Spence
Will not happen , they won't risk Brook getting beat ,, There trying for a big payday, and will want to hold the belt has a bargaining chip . Don't be suprised if he can't get Khan , Brook challenges GGG looking for the retirement package

Re: Brook vs Spence
Spence would comprehensively beat Brook.
Re: Brook vs Spence
The mandatory challenger gets the short end of the purse. I can't see Haymon letting Spence near Brook. I think he'll be steered another route for an in-house fight (Garcia, Thurman or Porter) and Peterson will be fed to Brook.coneye wrote:Will not happen , they won't risk Brook getting beat ,, There trying for a big payday, and will want to hold the belt has a bargaining chip . Re: Brook vs Spence
Spence has wide hooks up close and Brook throws great straight shots.
It's a close fight but I favour Brook.
