What price Hearns-Jones Jr?

Post by deadpan »

Evidently not one for the purists, but my flabber would not be gasted if this match-up were made.

It would shift 20,000 tickets (admittedly not to people you would wish to talk boxing with), and whilst I would bet my left ventricle on a Jones victory I would still give Hearns more of a chance now then when he was vainly calling out Roy when Jones was in his pomp.

That would be bad if that happened! :o

I still don't think a faded 47 year old Hearns could beat a faded Roy Jones, dispite a couple of wins, Hearns is so far past it. Jones hung in with Tarver well in the 3rd fight at times and had his moments. No interest in this fight, we may as well throw Riddick Bowe in with George Foreman on the undercard to spice it up a little :box:

Bowe vs Foreman would be more competitive.

NO, the winner can fight the victor of Holyfield-Tyson 3.

Then square up against Bob Sapp in K-1.

If we end up with Hearns v Jones, we may as well have Ali v Tyson.

After all Jerry Quarry was allowed to fight with severe brain damage.
