To be fair the mood Gavern was in that night it was always gonna be an uphill battle to look passable. He made the fight a shambles. Allen showed good temperament dealing with his antics IMO.

Disagree about David Allen.

He got dragged down to Gavern's level but Allen's right hand - which he kept trying - was way off. Me and my mate were cringing at not only the fight but Allen's performance. If he'd concentrated and boxed sensibly things would've likely worked out better.

Gavern's should not keep,getting these paydays in England and Germany. He's a joker.

After the fight I'm certain Allen said he's going to shake up the world. Acoustics weren't very good in Sheffield, mind.

He's down to fight on Hayes undercard next month so I'm assuming he still is.

he is back in usa training for fight on haye undercard, opponent tba, if he comes through he will fight haye in july, then haye (if he beats briggs) is looking for a world title tilt in november........and haye will travel if needed, he has no choice.

How does Mr Haye think that by disappearing for 3.5 years, then coming back & knocking over a couple of daffodils & the ghost of Shannon Briggs who is now old as space itself is going to earn him a title shot in November?
