In which round will Canelo KO Khan?

Post by ALI »

I see no other possible result than a Canelo stoppage, the only dilema i have is how quickly Canelo will get the job done.

I'll play it safe and say rounds 3 to 4, but no surpises if he gets it done in one.

Which round do you predict?

After four I'm thinking. I can see Khan causing him all sorts of problems early before getting caught. I also wouldn't be surprised if it goes 12 the more I think about it. If I had to bet it would be Canelo 5/6.

Despite desperately wishing for a Khan win and even convincing myself of it's possibility, I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion that Amir gets splattered in the fourth.

I'm going to go with my fan boy prediction.

Canelo finds the finishing blow 13 rounds in.

Of course he's 4 rounds behind at that point

I think Khan will step right the fook up and knock the fook out of Canelo late, after holding him up for a few rounds to show off his dominance of the future PPV star to his friends in the UK. With a wry ( I told you so) smile.

X2

I'd love it if Khan somehow pulled out the win. But the extra weight won't suit him IMO and he looks slower of foot. Canelo does hold his feet so if Khan was ever going to win it would have been by movement but now he's looking slower it doesn't bode well for him.

The only thing is.... Canelo's not a fast starter and is very patient. I think it goes late

I think poor Khan is suffering from a severe case of grandiose delusions, deeply rooted fantastical beliefs that he has supernatural powers capable of overcoming anyone - if he could have bulked up more it would probably be Kovalev he's fighting.

Whats his family and his team thinking? Ching ching probably. I suspect there is nobody there to save him from himself, most likely he's being fed the sort of sh*t he wants to hear, exasperating the problem.

When he gets knocked out, i truely hope its not career ending.

He will make some £££££ to retire after this fight and i believe that has been his plan since chasing mayweather.

If he was serious about forcing mayweather to fight him, he could have done so by fighter better fighters than Diaz, collazo, alexander and algeri. They were all safe fights that brought him time to try and force the fight with the big money.

He has his big money fight on cinco de mayo weekend and win or lose i think he will swan off into the sunset and retire.

As for the fight, as soon as he is caught he will try to show how macho he is and canelo will end it. What round i dont know before the 7th

How many of the ‘Khan Army’ will go across to support him I wonder?
I’ve seen them at some of his fights banging that f*cking drum non-stop and it’s looked to me like the boxing is somewhat secondary to their reason for going, for a good few of ’em.
Personally I hope Khan runs all night. Cardio cardio cardio. But as Sugar Ray Leonard showed against Marvin there....even when you run you still, inevitably, have to engage in some spells!
Khan is no SRL but then neither is Canelo a MMH, imo.

He gets done around the 6th.

Really annoyed in the build up they keep talking about Khans fast feet.

I really don't see it. Really fast hands but his footwork isn't quick at all.

The quickest I've see his feet was probably the Peterson fight. His footwork is nowhere near as good and quick as Floyd or Lara.

Agree about the footwork not being as fast but these people forecast his defeat by KO are all talking middle rounds :-?
For me, if it happens it happens inside 3 or 4. But I’ve got a feeling Khan will spring the upset.

Rounds 5 to 6

I can see this lasting into the middle rounds, I don't think Khan has a chance of winning but he's not stupid enough to try and trade punches with Canelo early on and try get an early KO no matter how desperate he gets.

He'll move around as much as he can and try counter punching to try and beat Canelo like Mayweather did but will get cocky like he does and make a mistake with arguably one of the best boxers at the weight class and get put down.

Went for 5-6. Think Khan will be more disciplined than in the Garcia fight so it'll last a bit longer, but the outcome will be the same.

You could make the case that man that’s barely stopped a fighter at his own weight should be barred from jumping up 15lbs (or whatever it is) to face the number one. I’m sure there’s a legal parallel that could be drawn.
Even people saying Khan might win...it’s all points ....

But this is boxing, yeah? So none of dat matters

Was this Peterson? What happened with that whole drugs business of his? Found innocent?
Khan has a decent chin. As Mick Jelley his amateur coach said, crap chins don’t win world titles and Maidana would probably testify to that.
Ironically, I suspect Barrera might have found a way to get to Amir, were it not for his cut.
