Golovkin will have to fight a good opponent if Canelo, Saunders and Jacobs ain't ready, so Ramirez @ 168 lbs could be a good option.

Arum and Ramirez said GGG can get it.ikorolev wrote:As if it never happened before. Sanchez himself says that he can see GGG ending his career at 175 if good fights are available. Both Zurdo and DeGale can be beaten by Golovkin. Of course, it will not be as easy as beating Saunders or Canelo, but I think GGG would be a betting favorite.Lancenix wrote:See here is what you do not understand because you have probably never boxed in your life. GGG would be giving up a 5 inch reach advantage and around 15 to 20 pounds in the ring on fight night. Why would GGG put himself at such a disadvantage?? Promoters just say that stuff to insult the rest of the MW division in hopes of insulting them into a fight. Rameriez is closer to a 175 fighter than a 160 fighter. I could see him looking towards the 175 division soon because there may be money to be made at 175 and there is not much to make at 168. You guys have to think before you post.apollo creed wrote:
Yep, GGG's promoter is taking in consideration for GGG to fight Ramirez and DeGale @ 168 lbs then come down if they can't get Saunders, Canelo or Jacobs.
Re: I consider BJS and Ramirez stiffer tests for Golovkin than Canelo and Jacobs
It happens but the guy has to be fit for the move. Let me give you an example. I have been in the presence of some of these guys. Before the fight with Sergio Martinez was the first time I saw JC Chavez Jr. in person about 8 weeks before the fight and I said to my friend how the hell can this guy ever make it down to 160? He stands like 6'1 easy and must have weighed over 195 plus pounds only 8 or so weeks before the fight. He has a 74 inch reach or so and just looks gigantic for 160. When you see GGG in person and I have stood within 10 feet of the guy he does not remind you of a 168 guy at all. He reminds you of a 154 guy than a middlewight actually. He is only about 5'10 or so and he does not have that crazy width of his back like some of these guys have. He is not that big. He can hit like a truck do not get me wrong but at 168 he could be outboxed, his power neutralized and would lose so many of the advantages he has at 160.ikorolev wrote:As if it never happened before. Hear me out on this, I was out in Vegas couple years back I saw Rameriz for the first time in person. Let me tell you something I don't know his exact height but this guy looked like 6 foot 3 and he has more of a natural build but is BIG. A monster for that weight class. His arms are HUGE and long as hell. My friend shook his hand, his hands are like huge rocks, I thought is this guy 168 or 175?? He looked like he weighed like 200 freaking pounds. If you were in their presence and saw GGG and then saw Rameriz you would NEVER say these guys would ever meet in the ring. The size disparity is way more overwhelming you are giving it credit for and that fight would not even be close. It will never happen anyway. Rameriz is a 175er in the not too distant future anyway.

You only say that about Rameriz because you really do not know boxing bud.apollo creed wrote:Golovkin will have to fight a good opponent if Canelo, Saunders and Jacobs ain't ready, so Ramirez @ 168 lbs could be a good option.

You are a fool who does not understand the game whatsoever. It is obvious you have never been in a ring in your life. You do not understand macthups. You just make a fool of yourself because you do not understand the game. I have tried to help you learn something today. But you cannot be helped. Some people on here know what they are talking about and understand the fight game. You are one who does not. I will note that. You are a waste of time.ikorolev wrote:Guys, we got another "expert". You have proven you know nothing about boxing. Your knowledge is so weak. I showed my friends your and ikorolovs posts. They are all laughing at you. They say why do you even go on those forums in the off chance that even 1 person knows boxing?? You know what? they are right. You are a joke Apollo. You are a fan of boxing. You like the sport but you do not know much about it. Maybe someday.apollo creed wrote:ikorolev wrote:Guys, we got another "expert". Please welcome Lancenix who joins Cheppa on Boxrec Expert Board. ramirez v callum smith i say yes ,and see happening next year

Now that fight makes a lot of sense actually. That would be more of the promoters getting together on numbers and fight location, etc.... but that is a logical matchup.brilo33 wrote:ramirez v callum smith i say yes ,and see happening next year

Golovkin vs Ramirez fight makes most sense. Mexicans loves Golovkin's style.
That's the next logical step if GGG can't get Canelo or Saunders.

So, boxing star, what is your biggest achievement in the ring ? Why do you think that your pathetic experience allows you to make conclusions about one of a kind boxers like Golovkin ?Lancenix wrote: You are a fool who does not understand the game whatsoever. He was offered $1.5m, which is nowhere near enough. One article starts quoting a big number and everyone runs with it.Lancenix wrote:Saunders was offered the fight for 3 to 4 million bucks at minimum but said the fight would have to be in the UK along with some other demands. Re: I consider BJS and Ramirez stiffer tests for Golovkin than Canelo and Jacobs
So, where did you get $1.5m ? Is that what Saunders say ? I bet he just selected to mention a net amount.expe wrote:He was offered $1.5m, which is nowhere near enough. Re: I consider BJS and Ramirez stiffer tests for Golovkin than Canelo and Jacobs
i do not believe a professional fighter would turn down 3 or 4 million to fight any one ,
Re: I consider BJS and Ramirez stiffer tests for Golovkin than Canelo and Jacobs
He said he was offered $1.5m, direct from the horse's mouth and if there was £4m on the table he'd have been on the first plane over.ikorolev wrote:So, where did you get $1.5m ? Re: I consider BJS and Ramirez stiffer tests for Golovkin than Canelo and Jacobs
It was £2.2m. He probably mentioned what he would get himself after his promoter and possibly somebody else get their shares.expe wrote:He said he was offered $1.5m, direct from the horse's mouth and if there was £4m on the table he'd have been on the first plane over.ikorolev wrote:So, where did you get $1.5m ? He could be just bluffing trying to get more, but it didn't work.brilo33 wrote:i do not believe a professional fighter would turn down 3 or 4 million to fight any one ,
