GGG Takes Wade Too Lightly and Loses Tomorrow Night
GGG Takes Wade Too Lightly and Loses Tomorrow Night
Talk about trap fights and this is a text book tale of it tomorrow night. I haven't even seen an interview from Wade or seen GGG discuss the fight. Everything is about Canelo and the weight requirement for their fight that will probably never happen. We've seen this one before. Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield set to embark one of the richest fights in history and then Buster Douglas happened wrecking everyone's plans.
Everyone's an undefeated fighter these days it seems until they fight on TV and get munched but there's something about this kid Wade that scares me as a GGG fan. Most likely GGG will clean his clock because he's the best fighter i've ever seen but if there was ever a moment for GGG to show up without his best, it's in 24 hours.

A thread in here predicted GGG would lose his last bout.

the great black hope is gonna be disappointed - GGG KO by five -
Re: GGG Takes Wade Too Lightly and Loses Tomorrow Night
The great black hope was Quillin, but he pooped all over himself. There is no hope nowmontrealsuper wrote:the great black hope is gonna be disappointed - GGG KO by five -
Re: GGG Takes Wade Too Lightly and Loses Tomorrow Night
Wade stinks. GGG could seriously win this fight punching with just one arm. And I'm not even joking.
Re: GGG Takes Wade Too Lightly and Loses Tomorrow Night
Obviously no one saw wade v soliman, soliman won easily but wasn't given the decision, this fight is a foregone conclusion

In the event of a loss, you can say "I told you he would lose tomorrow night!"
In the event of a win, you can say, "I told you he'd clean his clock!"
Now, off to the bookies with you!

Could you possibly be any more racist and ignorant? Just wondering?
Re: GGG Takes Wade Too Lightly and Loses Tomorrow Night
Wade does have a nice reach advantage if he can move and box and frustrate GGG by tying him up inside after landing some combinations. But it is probably a longshot for sure. I think it is OK to speculate if Wade can interrupt the KO streak of GGG.
Re: GGG Takes Wade Too Lightly and Loses Tomorrow Night
Ishida had very nice reach advantge. Monroe, Murray, Rosado and many other opponents had that advantage too. Didn't help them a bit. I was more concerned when Golovkin was fighting Adama than today.Lancenix wrote:Wade does have a nice reach advantage if he can move and box and frustrate GGG by tying him up inside after landing some combinations. Why is making a play on words of a common boxing cliche racist?Tony1244 wrote:montrealsuper wrote:the great black hope is gonna be disappointed - GGG KO by five -

Well see, all that does not matter. All that matters is what Wade can do. Taking info from one fight and extrapolating it to another fight is never a good common denominator anyway.ikorolev wrote:Ishida had very nice reach advantge. Wade is feather fisted. Golovkin will just walk through him.Lancenix wrote:Well see, all that does not matter. All that matters is what Wade can do. Re: GGG Takes Wade Too Lightly and Loses Tomorrow Night
He is not a big puncher but I would not say he is feather fisted. He knocked down Soliman in his last fight and Soliman is a tough guy. I think this will be more of a boxing match than you think. Wade has been down so he has to be able to take GGG's punch early. If he can then we will see. if he cannot you are right, this could end in round one. Wade has been down early before.ikorolev wrote:Wade is feather fisted. Golovkin will just walk through him.Lancenix wrote:Well see, all that does not matter. All that matters is what Wade can do. That fight was close and Soliman was down in that fight.Pureist wrote:Obviously no one saw wade v soliman, soliman won easily but wasn't given the decision, this fight is a foregone conclusion

Why is this fight happening? Wade is nothing more than a sacraficial lamb.
Re: GGG Takes Wade Too Lightly and Loses Tomorrow Night
He is the mandatory here. GGG either had to take the fight or give up the belt.Freedom wrote:Why is this fight happening? Wade is nothing more than a sacraficial lamb.

Re: GGG Takes Wade Too Lightly and Loses Tomorrow Night
triple g reminds of a great white shark , his eyes look cold and he is here to do damage and enjoys it, the man is not where he is by taking people lightly, feel for wade hope he is getting a few quid for having balls unlike most

Are you kidding, soliman won nearly every round, even the commentators were mystified, 1 KD doesn't give you the winLancenix wrote:That fight was close and Soliman was down in that fight.Pureist wrote:Obviously no one saw wade v soliman, soliman won easily but wasn't given the decision, this fight is a foregone conclusion

I believe it goes much farther back than Cooney. It was used to describe anyone that could be found to dethrone Jack Johnson.brilo33 wrote:gerry cooney ?digzee wrote:Never head of "the great white hope"?Tony1244 wrote:

I hope we have evolved from the James Jeffries/Jack Johnson/Jess Willard era. Can't recall the phrase describing any other division but heavyweight. It briefly reamerged in the 70s and 80s with Jerry and Gerry in a tongue in cheek kind of way because there hadn't been a caucasian heavyweight since Johannson in the 1950s.
Seemed kind of convoluted to me to bring in up in 2016 in a MW fight.
