Gonzalez vs Arroya **spoiler***

Post by davie »

Really enjoyed that fight.
I had it 8 rounds to 4 and really liked the contribution from Arroyo. I can understand the wider cards however as the rounds I gave Arroya were close to 50/50 rounds

But Roman is such a machine.
I've been impressed with his skills, accuracy and attacking technique previously but tonight his engine and work rate were spectacular, right though the 12 rounds and his chin stood up to a few solid tests.

Average defense. His offense is his defense. Inoue will detonate that chin if he doesn't go into hiding.

Is it possible to defend particularly well when you fight so relentlessly going forward?
I'm not sure it is.

I don't think he should move up. I think he looks small for flyweight. He would probably get found out at heavier weights but not through lack of talent or ability, just by not being big enough to cope

He's going to move up. He said he only has 1 more fight at Fly. His body can't cut the weight anymore. He had to cut from 122 to 112 for this fight.

 He barely made scales for this fight. He had to practically kill himself.
