I think Canelo will too. But first he has to get by Khan.
Nope that is not gonna happen. If he were thinking that way he would have fought the WBC no 1 contender this fight. Do you know who canelo's mandatory is?? Jorge Heiland of Argentina. Canelo could choose to fight him next if he wants to.
Nope, Golovkin has been the mandatory since beating Rubio.

I agree, forget about these guys have there take on "boxing". Boxing is a fight with rules, sure hitting without getting hit is an aim of it but tapping and running isn't fighting and shouldn't be used to gauge boxing ability. It's still a fucken fight FFS!

Didn't think of that,,good point..

Although..

Im thinking Canelo has no choice.. I bet everywhere he goes now his fans or whatever ask him when is he going to fight GGG. That's the ultimate challenge for him just like Mayweather was...

You are right they will not be but like I said he could fight his mandatory next and HBO and the WBC would line up for it. They are making a ton of money off both guys. Why kill this cash cow?? I remember when Pac and Mayweather were both with HBO and there fight was not happening. Bob Arum said "HBO is making a ton of money off both guys why would they be upset?? Both are PPV cash cows." HBO has both guys, they are happy to be hosting both guys.

But Mayweather and Pacman were the two biggest PPV stars in the sport and for over 6 years they did not fight. Who knows how long this can play out. Some people are strongly speculating canelo is gonna drop that belt possibly before the fight. Then he can fight at middleweight say against Saunders for the WBO title and have no obligations if he has no belt. Then he can keep having 155 fights or move to middle with NO obligations.

Canelo could fight Saunders, Quillen, Jacobs, there are plenty of guys. He could fight his mandatory. HBO feels that right now they can sell Canelo+shit on a stick to mexicans. I think they are right.

No he lost the WBO title because he missed weight against Lee. Then that fight was a draw but the belt was gone.

Saunders then beat Lee for the vacant title. GGG offered Saunders 3 to 4m to fight him but Saunders turned it down and is now lying about it.

My favorite part of the fight was when GGG let Wade hit him a few times.

Managed to win some £ on stoppage between rounds 1-4 for evens, I hope he starts being in interesting fights, getting boring now.

That's the thing, it is practically impossible to hurt Golovkin. It must break opponents hearts. I don't see how anyone beats this guy.

Quillan was the champ, lost the belt on the scales. The belt was vacant AND Saunders beat Lee for the vacant WBO MW title and still has it. GGG wanted a unification fight, Saunders said no to 3 to 4 m.

Quillin vacated instead of fighting Korobov, Lee beat Korobov for the vacant title, Lee retained the title by drawing with Quillin, and then BJS outpointed Lee and won the title.

You said so many wrong things in this thread. Here are facts:

1. Quillin was stripped when he refused to defend against Korobov
2. Lee defeated Korobov for the vacant title
3. Lee was a champion when he was supposed to defend against Quillin who missed the weight
4. Heiland is not Canelo's mandatory. He is #1 ranked by WBC, but the mandatory is Golovkin.

My bad. I messed that up. Lee had the title for that fight against Peter but Peter could not win it because he missed scales for the Lee fight. Title was not on the line.

Yeah exactly it wont, same problem with Kovalev, hes v another bum next, was hoping the worthless rematch with pascal would be the last of terrible fights, just a shame everyone is so scared to take on the best, I still can't see the Kovalev v Ward happening

Chilemba isn't a bum at all.....he's a top ten guy and arguably deserved wins over Alvarez, Bellew, and Tommy O, plus never been stopped.
