In which round will Canelo KO Khan?
Re: In which round will Canelo KO Khan?
You lost me there. What Peterson has too with anything. And what Barrera? You mean Garcia? What cut?

Re: In which round will Canelo KO Khan?
Hunter will have a plan but Khan won't stick to it.

Everybody has a plan till they get banged on the chin.samwbr wrote:Hunter will have a plan but Khan won't stick to it.
Khan is just not cute enough to stay out of harms way for 12 rounds. He will be KO'd.

According to my form in picking Khan fights I should by all rights be confidently going for Amir to win by clear decision.

I watched the Face Off with Max Kellerman yesterday,Canelo must be the least charasmatic Mexican ive ever seen,he made Khan seem like Ali

The poll predicted the outcome, well done guys.
Big shame to see Amir KO'd like that, but i was convinced it would end this way. To be fair, he was in it for longer than I thought he would be, he boxed well and can take a lot of credit for the display and courage he showed.

Here it is again, Khans trademark moves. Very reminiscent of that dance I posted above.

Certainly one for the highlight reel!Tarkus wrote:Here it is again, Khans trademark moves. Very reminiscent of that dance I posted above.

Interesting watching those 2 clips of his ko's. He's throwing shots (well at least using his hands) and is absolutely wide open. The guardian is non-existent. Seems like he's pretty predictable after a few rounds

Yes, I cant see Lara or Floyd getting hit with that.freddydoesdallas wrote:Interesting watching those 2 clips of his ko's. He's throwing shots (well at least using his hands) and is absolutely wide open. The guardian is non-existent. Seems like he's pretty predictable after a few rounds

Barrera wobbled him with a stiff jab at one point. I think without the cut, Barrrera, even an old outweighed faded one would have got to him.magwitch wrote:Was this Peterson? I’m sure there’s a legal parallel that could be drawn.
Khan has a decent chin. As Mick Jelley his amateur coach said, crap chins don’t win world titles and Maidana would probably testify to that.
Ironically, I suspect Barrera might have found a way to get to Amir, were it not for his cut.

No matter who trains Khan, he is always going to be vulnerable, he just cannot help himself leaving his chin sticking out -= he fights too tall and with his head held high like a kid who just got bought a toffee apple. It's never going to change, there will always be moments when he does that. Always.Tarkus wrote:Yes, I cant see Lara or Floyd getting hit with that.freddydoesdallas wrote:Interesting watching those 2 clips of his ko's. That's why he's always in good fights, whereas Lara and Mayweather are dull as dishwater.jamesmcdonnell wrote:No matter who trains Khan, he is always going to be vulnerable, he just cannot help himself leaving his chin sticking out -= he fights too tall and with his head held high like a kid who just got bought a toffee apple. Drop back down to 140 and see if he can beat Garcia. He might just pull it off, but can just as easily see a repeat.
It's very hard to go 12 whole rounds without presenting an opportunity, and when you've not got the best chin, that only leads to one result.

I don't disagree. That's why I've said he's definitely an entertaining fighter but not a world class fighter in all honestyBoxerbeetle wrote:That's why he's always in good fights, whereas Lara and Mayweather are dull as dishwater.jamesmcdonnell wrote:No matter who trains Khan, he is always going to be vulnerable, he just cannot help himself leaving his chin sticking out -= he fights too tall and with his head held high like a kid who just got bought a toffee apple. Yeah he's a contender really, won a couple of belts, but never been the best in any division he fought in. Physically gifted, but lacks the skills to really operate at the highest level.freddydoesdallas wrote:I don't disagree. The idea he'd have been a bit problem for Mayweather was always fanciful to say the least. Floyd would probably have knocked him out.

Bang on. The main thing is he has been financially rewarded for being entertaining toojamesmcdonnell wrote:Yeah he's a contender really, won a couple of belts, but never been the best in any division he fought in. Yep, I remember looking at some figures last year, and he'd outearned Froch quite considerably. The Olympic success made him a headline act from day 1 - he's had a great career in that sense. He certainly can't have any complaints.freddydoesdallas wrote:Bang on. The one time I nail the round betting I don't bother putting a bet on.ElJefe wrote:Went for 5-6. Think Khan will be more disciplined than in the Garcia fight so it'll last a bit longer, but the outcome will be the same.
Re: In which round will Canelo KO Khan?
In this case he has been financially rewarded for getting KOed. He had no chance of beating Canelo. He went up for the money, not for glory as his propaganda tells you. If he wanted glory he would have taken on Brook and Thurman and try to unify the division, not a no win fight for a mega buck. And he took some of you geniuses for a ride. Coming here and telling me how he is going to take Canelos best punches because he has never been truly hurt before.freddydoesdallas wrote: The main thing is he has been financially rewarded for being entertaining too
