As per the IBF Tournament, the Parker-Takam winner should face the Chisora-Pulev winner to become the IBF mandatory challenger.
So it seems Joshua could fit in another voluntary defence after Breazeale if he wants to.

Your explanation was just confirmation that I was right:

"Every time he ko's someone no matter who it is they'll be labelled a bum."

"but the Parker Takam winner is a good fight and folk will still moan."

"If he blasts one of them out they'll be labelled crap!"

Poor Joshua, he might as well just keep fighting chumps.
What I said is true. Some folk will never be happy. You are one of these people. I didn't say he should keep fighting the Charles Martins (bums) of this world though, you added that bit in yourself. We all want good competitive fights and I am no different. Happened with Wilder (I was guilty of it) where everyone labelled Duhaupas and Molina as bums but they done ok and have since had decent wins. You're obviously bored and looking for an arguement and you need to put words in people's mouths to do so...

It's a lot worse.

Very weak opponent for Joshua.
Who should he boxed then Horse......nothing wrong with him good amature background ....unbeaten as a pro and has a couple of good wins....think he's possibly a step up from Martin

Ahh I didn't know that was the case. I though Parker Takam winner would be next in line. IBF are getting worse. If he does take another voluntary hopefully it's a better calibre opponent than Breazeale.

Why are you defending horrendous fights like this one then?

I didn't label Duhaupas as a bum, because I actually have a clue about boxing.

A slight exaggeration was all I did.

You still gave the old "poor Joshua" speech all by yourself.

Did you see the Mansour fight? He is terrible.

The only worse opponent in the IBF's rankings is Jarrell Miller.

Anyone else in the IBF rankings apart from a Martin rematch would be fine.

So now I don't have a clue about boxing? I didn't defend the fight at all. It's difficult to match him because some folk will never be happy. This fight isn't a tough defence and I never once said it was nor did I give a 'poor Joshua' speech! Poor Joshua the young, fit, healthy millionaire? Yeah yeah. This is an awful fight. But let's be honest here, it was always going to be awful. There is no American in the top 15 of the IBF that would have been a worthy matchup. I may have got behind a Stiverne fight, but since he was removed from the rankings, there is absolutely no one. I understand why they have made this fight (to break into the American market) and can already predict how they'll market the fight (two unbeaten Olympians [although one won the gold, and the other was knocked out in the first round]), but it's bad.

Brezeale's performances in a poor record tell us everything we need to know. Disputable points wins against Kassi and a very fortunate retirement of Amir Monsour after being dropped. He packs a punch and has a decent KO record, but his defence is piss poor, and against a puncher like Joshua is a complete mismatch.

I will not be buying this on PPV.

People calling Duhaupas a bum didn't have a clue what they were talking about. He would be by far Joshua's best opponent.

Yes, you did.

'He won't get credit whatever he does' etc. Poor, poor Anthony Joshua. :verysad:

Absolute joke of a fight but can be spun to sound absolutley awesome with 15kos in 17 wins and Olympian.. Mansour smashed him and as someone alluded to previously had a little help with his record as well. Tried to jump on the ko odds early but hey ho best price was 1/10 for the ko. Terrible fight.

Joke of defense. I can name at least 20 fighters better than brezeale in the division.

He's the sort if opponent Hughie should be facing.

if you had actually seen his two 'decent' wins (Assuming you mean Mansour & Kassi) then you would KNOW that he's definitely not a step up from Martin, and Martin was shite also

Does anyone else think that this is Joshua's most worrying opponent to date?

By "worrying" I mean that it is worrying that his team picked this guy, because it suggests that they don't have a lot of faith in Joshua.

Very unambitious. Things don't look good for Joshua's future.

It's because they can put him in front of Mickey Mouse at this stage and they would sell out an arena, not that they don't have faith in him, dipshit. Learn how the game works.

I'm not condoning it, and I would love him to step up asap, but it's what is going to happen when there is money to be made. For fans as well. On KO1/KO2.

Stiverne would've been better yeah. Fury has a job on his hands in Wlad. It won't be an easy night for him I'm thinking. Hopefully he KOs him this time. I would much rather Fury v AJ than Haye getting to fight either of em. His sense of entitlement is astounding.

If he can beat everyone easily then why not step him up now?

He's not stepping up because they are afraid.

He was blowing out of his arse against Whyte after three rounds and needed a second wind to defeat the totally unproven domestic challenger.

He's an accident waiting to happen and I think his journey might be over soon. Enjoy it while you can Joshua fans. :TU:

Joshua has to fight somebody in the IBF's Top !5 in order for it to be recognised as a title defence.
Takam, Parker, Pulev, Glazkov, Chisora, Duhaupas and Haye are scheduled in other contests and Glazkov is recovering from an injury.
The only possible opponents for Joshua were Molina, Miller, Teper, Breazeale or a rematch with Charles Martin!
Given the available competition what's a guy to do?
I'm sure the big fights will come later down the line. In the meantime it's great that Joshua is keeping busy.

To be fair, I'd enjoy seeing Joshua smash up Mickey Mouse.
