Awful comparison IMO although I can see where you were coming from when you made it.

JCC was a star who was a seasoned world champion, moving through the fights fighting literally everyone and anyone. Elite, champ, contender, whoever so sure, popping in an easy one in between was no big deal. Christ the guy fought so often he got to 115 fights! Not really the same as a 16 fight, new world champion who has yet to actually fight anyone
You need to stop taking things so literally.

The comparison is that I'd rather watch Joshua fight often with some big fights mixed in with Beazeales than just watch him fight once it twice a year.

Hang on mate, I made a legit reply. I took your reply as it was written and that I understand the comparison but I disagree, I do not think slipping in easy ones between big ones is not what could happen as AJ has not had the big fights yet. If down the road, he starts having mega fights, then sure, slip in easy keep busy ones. But that is a long time down the road, at this moment in time and this reality which is the only one we live in, he should not be having this type of opponent IMO. He is still meant to be developing but has a world title so should be finding challenges to develop (for his personal needs) but also satisfy his stature as a champion (for the needs of the fans).

So taking BS fights against this calibre of guy is not comparable to JCC and that is what I said which was a literal statement you made and one which I said was not right IMO

All this "boycott the PPV" :brick:

Yes, I'm sure they will be bricking it at Matchroom HQ to hear that 35 people on the British Boxrec forum are boycotting it, leaving only a few hundred thousand casuals to cough up instead.

Its the world we live in sadly. Every single Joshua fight from here on will be PPV.

Matchroom only need spend what's necessary to convince the casuals that Dominic Beazdale is the reincarnation of Sonny Liston and they're away....

Its nawwwwghty, but they now have a proven business model that works :witzend:

Same here - I should have followed my instincts.

Pretty much anyone who is not much cop is likely to go in the first 3.

Looks like that ship has sailed, just looked on oddschecker, nothing like those kind of odds available. Guess they learned their lesson.

Think I'll be the same. I'm going to start limiting what I but PPV wise. I usually buy all of them but enoughs enough. I'll try and work it out so I don't have all the kids that weekend and head to one of my mates because I still want to see it. Just begrudge buying a PPV every 2-3 months now. Looking forward to Groves Murray more than the main event! Says it all....

Thats 8/1 for EACH of the first 3 rounds......just to save any confusion. Between 3 and 4/1 this time round.

Same here' 19 quid for undercard fights I've little interest in, and a main event that lasts less than 6 minutes, not good use of my money.

Sorry, try and clarify my post.

I was saying the original post implied (to me) that there were 8/1 odds available for Joshua ko 1-3 against Martin. It was about 2/1 for Joshua stoppage in rounds 1-3. The 8/1 mentioned were individual rounds ie round 1, round 2 etc.
Against Breazedale its
rond 1 - 11/4
round 2 - 11/4
round 3 - 4/1
rounds 1-3 is 3/10

I interpreted the initial post incorrectly, so I was simply clarifying regarding the odds. Sorry for the confusion.

Yeah, the bookies have realised this one probably isn't going long.

I've noticed some very lofty odds on the rounds from 6 on though, might be worth a small wager.

I liked how JCC kept busy and I like how AJ is keeping busy.

There's your comparison.

You couldn't make this up

"How dare he compare Joshua with Chavez. Julio was a f*cking Scorpio, Anthony is a Sagittarius. I'm outraged!"

I best point out that I have no idea what their star signs are, before Toby has another meltdown.

If Toby is on the roids, I'm backing off :verysad:

Seriously though, he does need to relax. A day at the beach watching the pelicans will do him the world of good.

I'm having a beer or two at a tiki bar near the beach right now. Does wonders for your temperament

Indeed. Ruiz would be a Damn Good opponent at this stage, my brother from another mother.
